  • @ramilover91

haha im most scared with the top 2...

  • I say this young man is quite the modeler and I whole hearty approve of this endeavor.

  • @kittyhak Great job young man. I know this was a few years ago, but I do hope you're still interested in flight and RC. I've been RC for a long time and have several planes (and other vehicles) but this has inspired me to try a fun little project like modifying one of these little cheap planes to my own liking. Again, great job!

  • Waytto go, keep at it!

  • I think that you could put a stick connecting the tail wings, then you could put some kind of pully to make it turn up and down.

  • Useless. Learn some terminology instead of saying "put this thing onto that part" and don't even bother putting the video up if you have no intention of actually making it R/C. "Not finished" = "No idea what I'm doing."

  • How did this get 1/4 million hits ?

  • Well MrDontpissmeoff777, to be only 13, you sure do have a foul mouth. Were is your mother?

  • Keep researching all info kid. Its a good start though. Keep it up....

  • I fly real planes and i am onely 13 fuck this shit

  • @MrDontpissmeoff777

That awesome man, I mean really thats awesome.... I made this when I was 10 thinking it was awesome, I make about a dollar a day from this video, and I honestly don't give a sh*t about what people think about it because its got 217,000 views, better than you'll ever get. So why don't you go troll someone else's video because your lonely little life is in dire need of some trash talking.

  • @kittyhak How do you earn money from this video? Does youtube request you or do you request them? or how is it?

  • @kittyhak This was gr8 for a 10 yr old. job well done :)

  • @MrDontpissmeoff777 shut up dude im 14 and i fly real planes and have been since i was 8.

u dont see my saying stuff like you so shut up

  • @MrDontpissmeoff777 words fr 13 . im 11

  • @MrDontpissmeoff777 you also misspelled only

  • @MrDontpissmeoff777 So does my friend but you don't have to be a jerk.

  • COM SE HIZO?

  • Why not put the tail on like it's suppose to be and cut out the rudder and elevator?

  • Good idea. I wish I had of seen this video when my 4 yo had his foam plane like that. We bought his at the grocery store when they were on sale. I think it was $1. Time to buy another one.

  • in the foam sail plane does the foam come with it and will it be that shape

  • i can by that at the doller store for 1 doller and i thought of that when i was yung about puting a moter on that foam plane

  • this video is very fantastic and interesting

  • poda mocca

  • Holy Cow! 173,226 views! Yeah I'll rate your video, a total success! You're a smart kid. If you don't go to college after high school, I'll scream!

  • i did the same exact thing when i was a youth, was trying to keep it fairly simple and low budget, never got around to controlled flite, just strapped a motor on there, i lost mine in the woods lol

  • 0:07 feat at the top of the player

  • weż sie z tym filmem popierdolony bananowcu se w dupe wsać ten filmik żal mi cie

  • Ok dave powers you just copied everything he said

  • u don't know crap about this

  • hey come on guys! he's just a kid!

  • nice

  • cav

  • that glider is junk, i got it and the elvader flyes of.

nor is ti a stabel air craft, as well not for beginners.

  • nice

  • i got tht plan 4 a buck

  • Why would you release a video out about aeroplanes three days after september 11th? Cool story bro. Way to make people cry.

  • you realy realy need to brush up on you rc parts terms/words and you want it just a little nose heavy if you can under stand that

  • fags why dont u juts get a real fcking plane and fly it instead of being lil fcking nerds and playing with rc cars

  • you got your name from kitty hawk, right? where the right brothers flew the first airplanes?

  • @billybob234432 yes sir

  • @billybob234432 they didnt fly there. they flew over a farm.

  • @billybob234432 it is wright not right

  • Comment removed

  • @Spicyperson9123 i dont care

  • @billybob234432 google Alberto Santos-Dumont and read wikipedia

  • waiting you'r next video mate

  • YOU neeeds a lots of work like achilles22382 told you .....it's not abig thing taking out an airplan from a bag and put every thing together but if you want to do a realy cool thing built it from zero and then you well feel somthing ...i wel let you now waths that feeling ;)

  • @blackend00

haha, lets not forget this was 4 years ago and well i wasnt that into building then, right now i have the eflite apprentice and i made my own hot wire cutter and made a pink floyd p51 from scratch im trying to find a video camera that will work now so =)

  • @blackend00 100 % agreed

  • cut the foam on the rudder and the tail the reattach with packing tape.I built three this way and it works flawlessly! Just whatever you do ,do not try to use a high power brushless setup .I did with wayyyy too much motor and snapped the wings off!)D

  • Ok for the tail piece if you wona make it turn

instead of cutting the tail piece to make the rudder risking the design

attach some piece of tin or some thing to make the rudder

  • i get them for a dollar

  • I think V-tail work well with an ailerons which, in termes might make this design somewhat more complicated. I think the easiest thing to do is to go with just a "convetional" Rudder/Elevator configuration that made out of 1/8" balsa and hinge tape and two micro servos. Good Luck kido... ;)

  • oi mate it is not a turning system it is elevators at the back so it can go up and down.

and im making a video with automatic trim!

  • can you spray paint it or paint it thnx bye

  • @nerfkawika511

u can paint it but it would weigh it down some, i wouldnt spray paint it as it may destroy the foam......

    thanks,

    kittyhak

  • i bought one like that 4 2 dollars at dollar general

  • @raidercs6

    see not expensive at all

  • i agree dude but it was good of you to show all of us what you know so far and to be honest like this is just me but i would order a pre made and ready to fly (RTF) airplane, there pretty cheap for what they are or if you want to get into this hobby try contacting your local rc flying club. best of luck.

  • oh wow the elevator system is easy and i dont even build rc planes and im 13 its actually very easy if u think about it.....btw think about the "kis" example (keep it simple) as this will make it very easy to fix and make

  • fail

  • dude who the hell are you to tell him off?!?!?!?!? he can do what he wants and he doesn't need dicks like you to criticize him for trying!.

  • @Trent321trent thank you i am tired of assholes trying to be all cool and asy my video sucks wen that have no videos or a few with 200 views

  • no probs kitty hak we should chat sometime do u have facebook or skype or some means of communication?

  • where the hell is the fucking motor

  • Engine? Motor!

  • I have always thought about doing this, so cool to see someone trying it! What a great cheap RC airplane, makes you wounder why the "hobby shop" ones are so expensive!

  • @NoobyRC

    haha thanks

  • @MrZYTHER leave him the fuck alon ur a faggot hes trien 2 show us somthin nd if u dont like it go choke on a dik

  • good on ya

  • why would your parents feature it?

  • @kittyhak well someone payed yo feature this video

  • are you

  • you can cut it to fit.

  • leave the horizontal stablelizers in regularly. and at a rudder and elevators. in theory it shud work. pardon my spelling

  • actually its better to build a plane from depron instead of buying a kit but very good

  • I wish I could build one like that

for a young boy like you it is very very beautifull and well done job yo did so far

do not stop please keep it up and safety first

    keep it up

    take care

  • @yassermasoodpk

im in the process of making a really good one i just started today

  • @yassermasoodpk dude its a glider from the dollar store.

  • @yassermasoodpk he took a plane out of a bag he bought and put stickey notes on it how is he doing a good job?

  • Dude watch, this vidio SONEX413 on you tube.. IT might help you, on chunk foam rc convertion. I made one a year ago with art p. using parkflier 250 and lipo batt. 2s 910mha , 12amp esc with a 4ch rx and 2- 9g servos just elevator and rudder...Test first free flight get it to fly then put your rc stuff on it..

  • nice feet

  • @THECRYTON

    rofl

  • hi dude ur plane is from a hobby shop but np i like ur intrest even i am intrested in rc stuff for back eleron u cut half and tape it down and put a servo

  • dude the elevons are going to fail, they work best when VERY close to the main wing, if you keep it the way it is, something is going to fail-either the main wing or the tail servos

  • why is your voice is very low???

  • @johnstn23

    what?

  • BROTHER YOU ARE THE BROTHER OF RIGHT BROTHERS

  • It might be a bit too late cause I see this is been up for awhile but as far as mounting the rear wings it looks like there is a notch in the wings and a notch in the tail for them to fit together. no matter --- you keep it up bud !!!! you doing a great job and learning for the things you build keep it up!!!!!

  • @billfromelma

    thanks

  • yay go kid u seem smart =)

  • @Fireballofdolera

thanks i am about to make a video of my other rc planes i have made from scarps im still working on my own version of the air hogs storm launcher and it didnt fly =( the engine cuts out after a few seconds so i realize i have to powerful of an engine. I did make a slow stick from the slow stick kit and an old rc plane and it flies like a charm.

  • Watch ALL of RCSuperpowers videos......you're on the right track, but theres a bit more to it than that. Good Job though! You're a young Dave Powers! XD

  • @Mjmackan

lets see you build a flying rc plane without using a kit

  • i want to see the new video pls

  • @jbkNation i am still trying but we the planes motor won't stay in during flight but i do have another one that will fly that i made from a kit and scraps around the house.I will post that very soon

  • Is your plane finished? Show me the video of how it flies.

    You are lovely creative.

  • cut the back inch of the horizontal stabilizer off, and re attach it with tape so that its loose enough to swivel. then attach your pushrod with a control horn thinger, thats glued to the elevator.

  • how you make a turning system for the 2 pieces at the back is you put a skewer through the back part and have the 2 bits joined together

then you can have it with string and hooks to move it

  • is th plane ment to be a glider

  • @guitarharish

it is meant for both buy i prefer to fly it as a glider as it is great in the wind<

if you fly it into the wind you woulnt even need the engine<

1 last thing you will want to use a slow stick engine prop system as itis meant for light weight planes

  • to fix your tail problem get 2 or 3 toothpicks and some foam safe glue and poke the toothpicks evenly in one side of the tail and glue them in place. then simply slide the other half of the tail in place and glue again

  • You my sir are fucking awsome :D Good job MAN!!!! 5* :D

  • can i use other material to make this stuff? its hard to find those material in Malaysia

  • if it flies it works

  • nice little kid u use ur brain nice :)))

  • thankyou

  • i had one of those except i just through it and srry your tail on it broke mine wasnt in 2 pieces

  • to make a plane you don't "HAVE TO" buy a 10 dollar styra foam sailplane . you can simply buy a pdf , arf , or rtf plane !

styra foam is bad. if you crash at all the foam falls apart!!

  • but it's easy to glue back together!!!

  • Actually - you could just attach the tail section per instructions that come with it. Then, You can buy two small engines, attach them 1 on each wing IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT AND POSITION - then you can control your turning by slowing down one engine. Have you seen an airhogs plane? They are like 29 dollars and that is how they turn. So you need a 2 channel remote contol (one for each engine). That would be the easiest way to achieve what you want to do.

  • cut out elavators on the two bak fins and attatch servos to them so you wont need the full tail plane to move just a section of it do the same to the front so you can turn the plane so you will need a 5 channel remote or u could use a 3 channel and have a rudder instead of the cut out on front wings

  • Good job kid, way to use your head, very nice, very smart. Can't wait to see it fly.

  • You need to put abot mabey an 1/8th in rod through the back end

  • wow kid, i applaud you for your....ideas. however, you REALLY need to attain a better understanding of elevator/rudder...and basic RC flignt in general. you simply do not know what you are talking about. there are PLENTY of instructional vids here on youtube, have at it. and good luck.

  • hey thanks but i was ten when i made this now im 12 and i have made many other planes and they actually fly this was mainly to get me started on youtube to see if this was the right was for me to go and it is cause i can fly rc planes like a pro and i can build them and they will fly nobody understands the capabilities of a kid but the imagination of us could get the world to new limits.

  • I agree Kittyhak - you are the future of aviation.

  • @achilles22382 he will learn... in time..

  • you realy should not have broke the bak peice. thats not the turning system thats the elivater, the back lifts the plane lol the long rutter that stands up in the back is for turnign, how ever the main turn comes from the two main wings buddy, thats the best help i can give ya.k

  • wow... there called servos u need to learn what your talking aboutand how am i supposed to land w/o landing gear and wow how is this thing rc? w/e buy a kit

  • And jesus if you ever get a tail working like that tell me cos you have no change, you need 2 servos, and tons of programing skills do you can programe the servos to do that, that is stuff for pros.

  • you mug, its not a turning system lol, they're control surfaces, elevator, aileron and rudder. Yu dont want the whole tail/elevator moving, just the back of it.

  • interesting design.

    RCFMitch

  • thanks for taking interest in watching my videos i have a bunch of ones that are homemade and actually so please continue to watch my videos btw ur videos own i love them.

    kittyhak

  • i know how to make the turning system

  • Im making a project, and i need to make a plane accualy fly, i have to make it in 3 days, so im making 1 from papermache, anyone reply on how i can make the plane

  • sorry to respond so late i have been out of comition for a while and i know u said 3 days but sorry the thing with paper macheti is it is water logged and whoulnt fly that well but gl anyway!

  • you can make an elevator and rudder from flat peaces of foam or even styrofoam from like packaging will do or some stiff card if you arnt too fussed about looks

you can connect it to the servo with some small gauge stiff wire or carbon rods which can be bought from your hobby store for a few bucks

you then need control horns which will cost very little and connect the wire or rods to the control surfaces

have one servo on each side of the plane

    Cont:>

  • where is the rc equitment

  • i hadden finished it yet =(

  • Continued from last post:<

put it near the tail or just past the main wing or under the main wing will do and cut a small hole to fit the servos inside and hot glue it or use foam glue to hold it in place

i wouldent go chopping off the tail section as its already set up to glide so you could make the controls harder if you move to many things

only make a vtail if you have a rudder elevator mixer or vtail mixer radio or you wont beable to controll it right

if you need help just pm me

  • push a rod truogth the tail fin and connet the flaps to it

  • UH..............

An Engine wont fit in there

  • hahaha. i dont think and engine will fit on there

  • check out my newest videos all on how to make a rc plane please watch the responses

  • thank you all for helping me get 10,000 views

  • USE SCOTCH TAPE and make a cut about 1/2 inch in the elivator, then Tape ONLY THE TOP of the foam back into place.. the TAPE will ACT AS A HENGE!

you can connect servo's or anything to pull them back and forth.. use a small rubber band on the bottom to pull it back into down position or use stiff wire rods made of wire close hangers! great job, and good luck!

  • this is sweeet thanx you realy helped me on this ill try to get a vid out if i can make it. do you no what size motor you used?telll meeee...... do u think you could get a vid of it flying?

  • i made it i crashed it

  • when i think about it its a nice glider, i mean a 2 ch glider of that had be a nice one.

  • elec/motor/servos/wiring = $120 or so - Good Luck

  • First of all, you'll need to get some foam safe CA (cyanoacrylate) glue at your local hobby center. U can cut ailerons into the wings & hold them in place using an over-under taping system using reinforced tape. Cut the control surfaces into the stabilizer & connect the two stablizers with a U-shaped connecting piece. I would mnt micro servos for each aileron (maybe not needed for a first attempt) and one each built into the side of the fuselage just forward of the tail to cntrl rudder + stab.

  • Hi mathew! this is micaela again lol

  • you oculd connect the turning wings with a stick kind of like a chinise sticks just put it trough the middle of the tail and each side of the chinese stick put it in each one of the other wings.

  • where can u get the motors to control the flaps?

  • a local hobby store

  • i think u should use a nail for the tail and i also think u shouls use two motors (one on each wing) so that it will fly strait and faster but it will be havier.

  • i uesed a papper clip for tail

  • if you want a v-tail then study how a v-tail works on another a plane that has one or watch videos on diferents kinds of tails on a plane

    and take prjhonnyt

  • You should watch all episodes of rcsuperpowers and I'm shoure ull understand how to do it. :)

  • you should go with the v tail but then you would have to use v tail mix or you can get a carbon spar an cut is an glue it to the elivator to make both go up an down but you would have to use some ply wood to keep the elivator from wobleing.

  • could you send me the plans for that in a email?

  • just telling you im still checking up on this

  • hey please watch the responses!

please rate only take 1 second

    please comment what you think

  • put a servo or "turning system" on the rudder not the elevator because only elevator control would be pointless you could only go up and down and turn around

  • ok thanks

  • I bought my body for $5 at five below.

  • I have the same airplane body. But I put superglue on it and it burned right through.

  • u cant use superclue use hot glue (not recomended)

    or use epoxy (recomended)

  • HOT GLUE WORKS???

  • ya suprisingly

  • ty so much i love this and i subscribed

  • thanks so much this fly like if i bought iit.the only down side is that its hard to fly but its loads of fun

  • thank you so much and i love this, did you come up with this on you own? =)

  • yes i came up with it on my own

  • are you sure you didn't get the idea from my video ;)

  • maybe a little

  • oh does yours fly?!?!?
