yu = child/kid
yunan = children
( but in everyday phrase it doesn't mean children literally. Its more of a colloquial term. Adults say 'yunan' to mean 'people')
That is as I understand it anyway.
I am yu di Kòrsou. Meaning, I am a child of Curacao.
