  • @ScottandGuitar5150 Oh yeah, he's definitely not easy to spar with lol, dude is pretty quick for a 50 year old. He doesn't like to go easy on stuntmen.

Though also I feel , some men are god's superb limited creation & JACKIE is one of the top in them.

I wish Before death (his or mine ,whatever 1st) i want to meet this incredible man.

God pls, make me that much capable.

  • @deepakalwayshere You really undermine people by saying that this is your "Gods" work. This is a man who put more effort in than you have. Stop blaming your God on how inept you are. Get off your arse and do some work towards becoming like Jackie, you bone idle, ignorant child.

  • @danfrost313

  • What a skill? Thats why we call him as Asian super star! Hard working person.

  • What a skill? Thatwhy we call him as Asian super star! Hard working person.

  • Look at the speed of Action Martial Arts star Jackie Chan just imagine viewers if Jet Li were to post a video of himself doing Wing Chun on the Wooden dummy.

  • i like his work flow :)

  • in wheels on meals jackie began the wooden dummy form after yuen biao had trained on it

    because i learned it aswell..

  • @MrViru5 you're right, J. Chan learnt wing chun at least the wooden dummy sections necessary for this part of the film, i saw photos of him and leung ting at the dummy, 'cos LT was asked to teach JC the dummy.

  • did he ever do any movies doing wing chun

  • @deenchast this is the only one

  • This movie always reminds me of how big of a bad ass Jackie Chan is. He's done some corny ass movies; but thats why you have to go back to the films that made him famous...then you'll be reminded. This scene is probably my favorite because it truly shows just how incredible his hand speed is!

  • no that is wing chun

  • no one give jackie chan the respect he deserves for being basically one of the best

  • Cool!!!

  • Io lo si fare meglio

  • Io lo so fare meglio

  • whohooooooooooooooooooo

  • wat is the name of this movie?

  • @plainwhite93 rumble in the bronx

  • Oh, this is wing chun alright. I see all the tan sao, pak sao, bong sao, etc.

  • Wing Chun - Eternal Springtime. Practiced by the master of Bruce Lee and Bruce Lee himself (before Jeet Kune Do).

  • That was fucking fast

  • Who taught JC his wing chun skills, was it Sammo Hung or Yuen Biao (they do wing chun) ?

  • 0:43,elbow looks great,he's ready to chum kiu 尋橋,or transition into whatever comes next

  • This is cool! Your a true star JC.

  • Rumble in te Bronx was the first Jackie Chan movie I ever saw. For me, seeing Jackie Chan at work for the first time is one of those memorable experiences that I'll never forget.

    Plus it was really funny.

    Jackie Chan is amazing.

  • Jackie knows a lot of stuff. I was surprised that he did Wing Chun when this movie came out.

  • just about 5 minutes ago.. I realized that Jackie is a great wing chun practitioner.. what a master.. O.o

  • Geez, guys stop arguing over it. Whatver Jackie is doing , it is still GREAT KUNG FU.

  • Jackie does red boat opera aka Yip Man lineage wing chun. I am willing to bet he has trained with people like Leung Ting or has trained under him because there are pictures on the net circulating that show them hanging out together and yes the whole purpose of wing chun is for fighting, and not to look all fancy like something with flowery or wide movements. This is the whole purpose of the centerline attacks and the loaded springlike movements from which power is generated via body mechanics.

  • You can easily see the difference between theatrical kung fu and real legit kung fu styles for instance if you compare theatrical mantis kung fu to something like chow gar or 7 star mantis. There are big differences. In real kung fu you often find things like chi kung breathing other chi gong training methods like iron body or iron palm. Theatrical kung fu is more similar to choreographed dance movement. Fighting is illegal in China. This is why Jackie would never admit knowing real kung fu.

  • @MartialArtistGuy1981 how is fighting illegal in china when there are martial art schools everywer? and he does admit to knowing kung fu. and relating to ur previous comments, is it drunken master kung fu or drunken tiger style?

  • Do you mean kung fu isn't martial arts ? You are referring to wushu right ? or opera kung fu... Last time I checked Jackie knew Hung Gar, Wing Chun, Drunken Tiger, and Bak Mei, and those are actual legit fighting styles but what do I know I just study Wing Chun myself lol. You should do a bit of research on the Red Boat Opera lineage of Wing Chun Kung Fu. If you are assuming that there is now such thing as real kung fu then you should do a bit more research. There is sport and real kung fu also.

  • Many of the martial arts systems you see are in fact based upon original kung fu and have origins dating back to the shaolin temples whether they will admit that or not. I would advise that you check out a movie called "Top Fighter" where they interview alot of these guys and actually hear their story from their own mouths and according to them. While there could be some things they do not tell you can guarantee Jackie Chan is legit and is respected not just for his stuntwork but kung fu also.

  • crazy... u think peiking opera doesn't require martial arts? its northern fist with acrobats and vocal training on top of it. when you work with the best of the best like lau ka leung and his father you gotta pick up your southern hung gar also. Also jackie, sammo and yuen bieu focus a lot on wing chun these days. half the so called "kf masters" can't even come close to their skill. hell... can't even find guys to do a decent wooden dummy.

  • Not a stuntman! What rubbish! Stuntmen wouldn't have dared to what he did back in the 80's let alone persuade any western film group to let him do what he does. He does the stunts and acts the acting. Just because he doesn't have a stand-in to do it for him doesn't make him a technical stunt man - actually you're right, he's not a stunt man because he's gone beyond being a stunt man!! He's a real life Superman!

  • @sawingeagle

A stunt man is someone who gets paid to fill in for the role of an actor during a stunt that is too dangerous for the actor to perform. Seriously, look it up in the dictionary.

Therefor, Jackie Chan is not a stunt man. Also, he did learn actual fighting and thus he learned martial arts.

  • hes a stunt man thats how he got into acting

  • No. He started starring in films when he was 8. Go check wikipedia. He's credited in films back then.

The point was that he was trained in Kung Fu before he did stunt work. In school he learned Kung Fu and did a few movies.

  • A little secret about Jackie Chan. He used to be a porn star. I'm not lying.

  • to AyojonTV:

    That was softcore porn.

Another secret: He has a daughter whose mother is not his wife.

  • @AyoJonTV really? How did you find this out and where can I get his porn movies? lol

  • @AyoJonTV good 4 him

  • NICE NICE, wie schnell er das macht

  • you are correct, Jackie Chan is an expert at theatre kung fu, not actual martial arts. He mentions that in one of the books about him. However he is an excellent choreographer and his moves make it look as real as it can get. He's still my favourite to watch when fighting.

  • Jackie is a real fighter he just dosent think he got anything to prove cause he hates violance. He beat up a motorcyckel gang byhim self when he was 17 and a thoof was stuck in hes fist after.just look at his interviu on letterman, peace out.

  • Actually you are right he could beat me up easily but it is all theatre when he was 8 his parents sold him to the theatre where he learned singing, dancing, and martial arts xD

  • jackie chan is more than a stunt man. he's also done choreography for many of his movies. he knows more than one type of kung fu and learned the more traditional styles when growing up in a chinese opera school. but, he has used many different styles of kung fu in his movies and he has used wing chun techniques at times.

  • nope.. thats actually called wing tsun. hes using the wooden dummy form and its very pro cause its accurate and fast.

  • holy shitttt thats very fast doing the wooden dummy form. its actually pretty accurate holy crap

    jackie chans awesome

  • when you punch a heavy bag, you think of a combination you want to work out, right? It's the same thing jackie's doing on that dummy.

  • It takes lots of hard work and skill to even get close to Jackie's speed on that thing.

  • it's called wing chun, not choreographed.

  • is it realy wing tsun what jackie ís doing there because i know he knows kung fu north and south style and many more martial arts so he does all martial art he learnd togheter and calls it chop suey.

i just vist a wing tsun school but it doesnt looked a bit like that what jackie does and i wanna learn it the same way i wanna learn jackies style. any advide?

  • yup its wing chun. he just sped everything up lol.. with the dummy there is no sepcific form, you use whatever moves you would like to pracitce. however doing it fast doesnt mean you will beat anyone in a fight. doing it fast just means you know which move you are going to attack, or block the next instant. some people mistaken using the dummy to choreograph wing chun, which will end them up no where but getting beat up

  • got it thx;)

  • lol np

  • hehe;D

  • @aznprc4lyfe The wing chun speed doesn't mean you'll win, but it sure helps. Wing chun was designed by a woman so that a small woman could defeat a strong man, hence the emphasis on speed and many punches rather than power and a knockout punch. (the speed comes from staying loose, so it not so dependent on strength as it is in boxing)

  • @neoaeonian I totally agree with you. In fact since it is developed by a woman, with all due to respect, it means that muscle's dont really play a major role in this martial art. Therefore strength, muscle wise and arm size plays no role in this art, muscles may actually slow down your speed in punches and reduce your amount of relaxation. This martial art is all based on basic principles of gravity, physics and trigonometry (triangular stance, centre of gravity, and centre punches)

  • @aznprc4lyfe LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @aznprc4lyfe um yes it's wing chun....but it IS choreographed. How else are they going to shoot that scene on film? it's a movie not a documentary.

  • @KiCreativeStudios jackie chan doesnt need choreographing, he just does it =)

  • That scene alone made me go out and buy the dummy...well order it anyway. I still can't work it like Jackie up there it's mostly for hanging clothes on now LOL. BUt i'll never get rid of it-maybe my son will start fukin with it lol.

  • nerd...

  • Such a nice man :) and amazing at Martial Arts also

  • wow ..........fast
