The xray shows the tooth that is 3D in a 2D format. The pin was not in the pulp chamber and came out easily

The primary Xray shows that the pin from the amalgam is in the pulp chamber, did it have any affect on the final restoration ?

Vitrabond by GC was placed in the deepest areas. Ketac Nano for a larger base followed by Filtek Supreme Ultra for the outer surface. This patient does not have the money for an implant. She realizes that this is a heroic attempt. I did not use a matrix band. I chose to use cord to retract the gum tissue and treat the preparation like a class five restoration. No sensitivity so far.

It's a heroic attempt to save that molar with poor prognosis! What kind of liners/composite did you use? Did you use a matrix band? Any symptoms after?

The burr are being used with an electric handpiece which can be as high as 40,000 rpm. i usually set it for under 20,000.
