  • what6 year was this?

  • seriously. how'd they come up with this sound??? Who really is this guitar assassin Dave Knudson????

  • @christopiate hes in minus the bear nowadays

  • i love that there's a link to King Geedorah's Fazers. hahahahahahhahhahahaah

  • they sound fucking great here

  • BOTCH. FUCKING. KILLS.

    R.I.P. Puyallup's Finest!!!

  • Fucking historic!!

  • i regret not going to this with my cousin wen i was like 12 or 13.

  • @kraf999 I bet your life was changed after you left there.

  • Wow. American Heritage and Milemarker played this show too... this show would have blown my mind.

  • what is the first song called?

  • C. Thomas Howell As The "Soul Man"

  • so fucking brutal!

  • this band was so great. i was fortunate enough to see em a couple times a year in Portland back in the day. their show w/ Dillinger was off the hook.

  • Dillinger + Botch, i envy you.

  • seriously jealous

  • one of the bands of my life ,next to poison the well and deftones...I discover this concert now..Im orgasmic..

  • I agree with you, but i would much rather see bands on the same page as botch then all these new bands playing bring me the horizon shit.

  • I often wonder if every piece of meat left on this bands bones hasn't been consumed by hoards of vultures masquerading as hardcore bands. There's definitely a lot to learn from this band, I just wish more bands would take a cue from them and evolve the genre rather than keeping it stagnant by simply imitating what they've done already.

Has anyone heard Dave V.'s new band, Narrows?

  • DUDE.

    Narrows fucking rules.

  • For sure. Their full length is coming out in a couple weeks. I think it's cool how they're exploring a more noise driven sound.

Deathwish has been putting out a lot of really good shit lately.

  • This set actually ends with the song Micaragua, can't believe no one else pointed that out yet.

  • 14:04-14:19 best 15 seconds of my life....

  • i didnt know Buckethead was into Botch! this makes buckethead just a little bit cooler!

  • a friend of mine was like "guess what! i met the chariot today and was showing them around town (liverpool, uk), theyre a great band, you should check em out, a bit like norma jean, really original stuff!" i LOL'd

  • Here's the setlist. 1. C. Thomas Howell as the "Soul Man" 2. Oma 3. St. Matthew Returns to the Womb 4. Thank God For The Worker Bees 5. Hutton's Great Heat Engine 6. Mondrian Was A Liar 7. Frequency Ass Bandit 8. Transitions From Persona To Object 9. To Our Friends In the Great White North Great video, thanks for sharing.
  • Ashamed I am that I very very recently found this band, and was championing Norma Jean for so long - I love NJ, but they just wouldnt exist without Botch. Still the more the merrier I say, its a fabulous genre.

  • Goddamnit Botch come back already. Modern Music needs you. a lot more than Minus the Bear, even though they're good.

  • it was more blatant on their second cd though

  • botch is one of the heaviest hardcore bands of TIME ITSELF. and much respect for them sticking up for the fans who didn't feel like swinging fists or kicking feet. Botch, you will be missed.

  • what loop pedal does Dave use? i know that in MTB he's using a bunch of DL-4's. same for Botch?

  • thats pretty obvious camera

  • nevermind

  • c. thomas howell as the soul man

  • anyone know what the first song is called?

  • "To our friends in the great white north", from the "We Are The Romans" album (track number 1)

    cheers

  • sorry its "C. Thomas Howell as the soul man" from the same album ahha the other one was on my player :P

  • their singer reminds me of a stocky josh scogin

  • buy the dvd. it kicks ass

  • teh original "metalcore" band, whatever that is.

    number twelve looks like you

    dillinger escape plan

    norma jean

    everytime i die

basically anyone who uses the minor 2nd interval during breakdowns owe their careers to this band

  • botch isnt fucking metalcore, and neither are norma jean and DEP

  • yer metalcore is shit bands like atreyu and killswitch engage botch dont get labelled. and if they did it would be 'intensely amazing'

  • EXACTLY.

"metalcore" as we know it, is just another trend of today. a pretty shallow style of "metal", if you ask me.

  • I know that DEP was obviously influenced by these guys, but to be grouped with those other bands who basically ripped off this style is inaccurate I think. Calculating Infinity is one of the best hardcore albums ever.

  • R.I.P. Botch.

    R.I.P. Fireside.

R.I.P. basically everything good about hardcore, ever.

  • awesome video. 061502 is amazing. That and Kill The House Lights by Thursday are the best band DVD's ever.

Africanlord1234, its actually "STOP THE SHOW!!! LISTEN UP!!!"

The cat on the amp's name is chauncey.

  • If you love Botch check out their last show DVD... bought one cheap as hell from amazon... worth the price of a child! Commentary on it is funny as hell too!!!!

  • lol, on top of their amps they have teddy bears and kittens!

  • START THE SHOW!

God i love botch. Converge. And Coalesce.

  • sweet

  • Wow!!!!It kicks ass!!!!!

  • hey robinson, it`s clear that these guys are not playing metal, they`re playing a big genre mix, and they`re fucking awsome.

  • Tim Latona is a great drummer. Where abouts is he now?

  • robison w.e should try to learn a botch song. its mathematical as fuck. so he shouldnt talk shit until hes been in their shoes.

  • you sir, are an idiot.

  • Shut up.

  • wow u are fucking stupid meat head. your stupid fat ass savage who just worships Slipknot cuz they paint their face. u dont fucking know shit when it comes to good music

  • the set list is

    1. C Thomas Howell Returns as the "soul man"

    2. Oma

    3. St. Thomas Returns to the Womb

    4. Thank God For the Worker Bees

    5. Hutton's Great Heat Engine

    6. Mondrian Was a Liar

    7. Transitions From Persona To Object

  • DEP is an attempt to Botchness

  • Anyone else at this show remember the naked guy who put his socks on his hands?

  • Every time i see these videos I get a lil choked up. I was at the final botch show at the show box and it was fucking intense !

  • DRI is good, but Botch is a whole 'nother level mang... Seriously, listen to that rythym section lock in with the guitar.

"Once again, it's all an act"

  • fuck yeah, i love every second of this, brings me back to all the times i saw them in highschool around seattle.

  • it sounds like DRI with a Scremo singer

  • you know nothing about DRI

  • EPIC

  • botch ftw tbh

  • wow i am very impressed with this band botch, ive never heard them before this post, thanks! i attended an ISIS show bit ti king ago and Aaron Turner had a BOTCH shirt on. im glad i investigated!

  • i love this band so much i named my american bulldog:BOTCH

  • botch fkin rock xD

  • Well I guess there's just some people who listen to Botch because they love Botch, and some people that listen to Botch because it makes them a step ahead of Avenged Sevenfold/scenester trend fans.

  • In a way I am kind of glad that Botch never got as big as they deserved. If everyone loved Botch as much as I do then I'd be dumb like someone that listens to avenged sevenfold and not cool like someone who listens to Botch.

    God bless.

  • Why all the hatin on norma jean if you love Botch so much? You and norma jean jean obviously have an apreciation for the same music and lets face it there not all that differnt, ud have to be damn ignerant to say there nothing alike. I sucks how everyone sees there opinions as the be all and end all of it (maybe that will sound hypocritical to some)

  • are dead serious guy, new norma jean sucks a fart out of my asshole. orig was tight but still have nothing on botch

  • These guys are good and everything...but how are they better than Converge/TDEP?? I've heard so many people say that...not true...not true. These guys are a lil more accessible, which I guess is cool.

  • I was at this show up front on the bassist's side. The singer nearly strangled me with the mic cord. The guitarist's style set me on a new path of guitar exploration. What an awesome show and a great orginal band!

  • Insanity!

    Botch is so good!

Anyone know why such a brilliant band would break up?

  • can someone post the setlist?

  • there will never be another hardcore band this good

  • great fucking video, great fucking band.

  • too much.

this is what hardcore did become.

unfortunately there aren't any bands that have stepped up to the plate such as these guys did.

    R.I.P Botch, Deadguy, Refused

  • MORE COWBELL

  • fucking awesome!

  • FUCK YES ITS BOTCH

  • ugh terrible

  • get bent

  • Can anyone figure out the full setlist? I'm unfamiliar with Botch's catalogue, but this is sickness! Thanks.

  • whats the name of the first song????

  • "C. Thomas Howell As The Soul Man".

  • Soul man.. full name:

Botch - We Are the Romans - C. Thomas Howell as the "Soul Man"

  • thanks!

  • Who cares about NJ or the Chariot when there's 41 minutes of Botch to be had.

  • Why was this withheld for so many years? Evil people... better late than never though

  • norma jean is okay, chariot are haircore kids. botch will stay alive forever. nj and chariot will be forgotten...

  • soul man owns

  • i fucking LOVE botch

  • *sigh* - Norma Jean have admitted they are largely influenced by Botch. Keller Harbin listed Botch as a major influence in an interview he did around the release of "Everything is..." by The Chariot.

Pretty much every noise/metalcore act that use unconventional time sigs. and have spazzy guitar fills love Botch.

Cos they were *and still are* legends.

P.S. - it was only Josh Scogin who left NJ to form The Chariot ;)

  • how is this video 41 minutes long? i thought there was some sort of time limit on youtube videos.

  • botch is the greatest band ever bar none

  • Norma Jean and The Chariot sound alike because after their first album, Norma Jean's singer and guitarist left to create The Chariot.

As for Botch, they are a great band, but I disagree with the notion that Norma Jean is a rip off of Botch.

  • I was aware of Josh leaving after BTMKTC and joining The Chariot, but I don't think they sound that similar.

  • Norma Jean are good, but I won't deny Botch's obvious influence on them (the same goes for The Chariot). I like Botch a lot more though, the guitaring in the opening song is fucking sick.

  • I agree that Botch had a heavy influence on Norma Jean (although I think The Chariot sound more like them) but I don't think Norma Jean suck. I like Botch more though, and this video is awesome. The guitaring in the opening track is sick.

  • cooooooooool!!!

  • uhh... impur1ty... i think you totally read his post wrong. just a little heads up

  • fact: record sales mean nothing compared to talent. fact: norma jean sucks. fact: you wear girl pants. fact: these comments are directed to user "ifuckingtriumph" false: u are so cool. welcome ot the internet nub

  • fuck norma jean they can't even claim to rip off this band even a ripoff would be cooler than there real stuff

  • fuck norma jean

  • Anyone who says Norma Jean didn't rip off Botch is a complete moron. Shame that "Bless The Martyr" has sold more copies of cds than Botch's entire catalogue.

  • yeah they do, norma jean ripped off botch so bad. Listen to Botchs album We are the romans. and you'll see that norma jean copy'd these dudes completely.

  • no they don't. sweet video tho

  • listen to it again, and if you still have the same ignorant claim, shoot yourself. it's pretty fucking blatant. but let's not forget coalesce, another great band that norma jean has blatantly copied. long live botch and coalesce.

  • whoa norma jean does sound like these guys.

  • oh my god

  • set list anyone?

  • THANK YOU.. I CAN DIE NOW

  • yeah seriously i can die happy.

  • We want the dvd !!!!1one!

  • Omaaaaa..<3

    Ian

  • the singer was wearing the exact same shirt when they played in Louisville.

  • my favorite video on YouTube ever! botch is fucking amazing

  • goddamn.... transitions from persona to object was insane. saint matthew returns to the womb was pretty sick too.

  • if i ever marry someone its gonna be botch

  • the band of my late youthhood...

  • saint matthew returns to the womb was amazing

  • Saw Botch with All Else Failed and The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sadly I didnt even know about them till their last 5 shows and I live only like an hour and a half from Tacoma. Hopefully someday they will realize that the world is in dire need of them and return.

  • You are amazing for posting this! Thanx so much!

  • botch is amazing

    one of our influences

wouldve been awesome to actually see them live

  • Botch se salen!!

  • WOH...GREAT!!! thanks!!!

  • This is sweet! If I had one wish, it would be to see Botch live. Damn.

  • I remember this show used to be up on some site, I fell in love with Botch after I saw how ape-shit the guitarist could go while still playing crazy stuff. Wish I got the chance to see them live. Fuck.

  • its too bad that their DVD will never come out. this is pretty slick.

  • Not true. Brian says the dvd is almost finished.

  • They've been saying that since 2005. I hope you are right, though!

  • It's out

  • and it is glorious!

  • and I agree

  • thanks for posting this

  • i love how someone screams "BOTCH!" at every minus the bear show i go to.

    amazing band.

  • this is beautiful. thanks much!
