There isn't such a thing as an "eons" old system of witchcraft. The overwhelming majority of today's occult is ultimately derived from things like alchemy, which itself is quite old but not ancient. Most "witchcraft" people believe in is either a fairytale or comes from a relatively recent (last several centuries) occult school of thought, or is outright made up. So-called "Pagans" are a perfect of example of that, but I digress.

I have been reading harry potter since I was in 4th grade, and I believe I was a child. And the first harry potter movie came out when I was in 5th.
I never tried to go to the occult, of anything evil you idiots think happens.
I am now in college, go paintball, go on dates, have a wonderful time with family.

This is hilarious. Harry Potter does NOT have any sort of connection to Satan. The entire series is about love, friendship, and good triumphing over evil. The magic part is just a fun aspect. Just because fans find the prospect of attending Hogwarts is fun doesn't mean that we worship Satan and sacrifice babies.

There isn't such a thing as an "eons" old system of witchcraft. The overwhelming majority of today's occult is ultimately derived from things like alchemy, which itself is quite old but not ancient. Most "witchcraft" people believe in is either a fairytale or comes from a relatively recent (last several centuries) occult school of thought, or is outright made up. So-called "Pagans" are a perfect of example of that, but I digress.

Kids love reading the book, mainly because it is able to transport them to a reality that is similar to our own, and yet so different at the same time. All of the effects from the "spells" is simply some pretty kick-ass special effects. I don't think Harry Potter is to blame for the rise of Satanism. I think parents who allow their childrens imaginations run away with them are more at fault.
I agree that certain forms of imagination promote beliefs and even superstitions, but I'm not sure I agree with how this Harry Potter book and movie phenomenon is being analyzed.

I just read a report that since these movies have become so popular,we have more ppl into withcraft then ever before. It just knocks me out just how weak and programmable the human mind is. Harry Potter is a trap and ppl are falling for it like flies. Evil often times comes in the form of something good,remember that.

Hey, you know what you don't take into account...CHRISTIANS THAT LIKE HARRY POTTER! I am a Christian, go to church not all, but some Sundays, I read the Bible, and I happen to read Harry Potter trivia books and spend a lot of time on the Harry Potter Wiki. I see nothing in ANY HP book that even remotely looks like it is indoctrinating kids. What you say is fucking rubbish and if I ever see you in RL expect some Avada Kedavras and Crucios to come your way.

The Scar from the movie is the one your comparing, J.K. did not design that scar, also, can you draw a simpler form of a lightning bolt?. Next J.K. has stated herself that she is a Christian. My 3 yr old watched transformers and now he wants to be a robot with a cannon for an arm. should i call a priest so he can be exorcised, or just beat these satanic thoughts out of him? i heard him say i like the decepticons im so worried he will fight on the wrong side. hopfully he will grow out of this and choose the side of good (autobots). everyone pray to optimas that he will.
