  • I really enjoyed the anal sex scenes in this motion picture. They really meant a lot to me.

  • lol awkward ictures does an awmsome parody of this!

  • hahaha lol this is awsome and hilarious

  • Why is this scene popular/funny?

  • A couple reasons. #1, this was a popular skit on the Jim Rome show (sports radio talk show host). #2, I'm a big fan of Mel Gibson, but it's among the most "over-acting" I've ever seen on film. Instead of "give me back my son", most people would be like "You're fucking dead if you even think about doing anything to my son!".

    I hope this explains it!

  • Romey rocks

  • rambojr03 " Instead of "give me back my son", most people [mostly men] would be like "You're fucking dead if you even think about doing anything to my son!". "

Thats why most of men dont know how to react when they lose they Kids for ever, in Child custody cases. If they say that to their ex-wifes, or judges, you will be arrested, and losing your son anyway. According to law.

  • I agree with you about the injustices men often face in child custody battles. As you well know (being an advocate for Fathers' rights), the laws on the books today were originally written during a time when stereotypically a woman was the caregiver for the child, and the man was the provider or "breadwinner" of the family. Today this quite often not the case, so each individual custody hearing should be treated differently.

  • Well, those laws were made in the 70s.

Since we live in a "men world", it will not be easy to change them. But.... reality is diferent. Those laws were not changed for 4 decades, to say the least.

Worst. In trial, there is sexism against men, as you said. And each case (after all) is not a case, but all men are equal = bad fathers.

Incredible how men allow that, since it seems that theres no oposotion. Or there is and we dont know.

  • He does say that, immediately before he says "give me back my son."

"You kill him, you kill yourself motherfucker! Give me back my son!"

  • Mr. T could easily take Chuck Norris in a fight.

  • i concur, fool!

  • Good Fathers love their sons, even they don't express it emotionally. Men, as a rule, have difficulties expressing emotions.

Thats why so few go public , exposing "child Custody Injustices". This dad (mel) just shhout "give me back my son", cause is most precious treasure.

He says it in the film

(see my channel, concerning mostly fathers rights" "

  • um, thanks?

  • Put this way. How you would think, if you want to make a video concerning love of fathers and mothers to their sons ? You will think in a woman cry, in a woman begging, etc. That's a cliche, but true, about how most of women react. People think they love their sons more than men, cause they show EMOTIONS into public.

Men, dont. Men (as a rule) few times cry, few times beg for their sons, in public.

So how can a man shows that he love his son, and be believed ?

  • i agree with what you are saying, but i looked at it from the point of view that 'this is a line from a movie' which yes it is quite moving but people seem to think it is hilarious and amusing; its become very popular. i thought it was good acting, and didnt think much of it. good explanations and father-son relationships kick ass. good day. i said good day!

  • You're analyzing this way too much. Everyone knows the context in which he said the line, knows the movie is of a serious theme, and most fathers that actually parent and not abandon, love their sons and are capable of expressing that love ( I know I do with my son).

I made this clip as a joke because the trailer ingrained that line in America's heads for months. No social commentary on custody or kidnapping was intended. Lighten the fuck up.

  • perfect. nice one.

  • The Daily Show made fun of Mel Gibson with news clips that showed clips of his movies. Here's the best one:

Jon: Breaking news out of Hollywood, actor Mel Gibson spearheading a voter initiative to lower smog emissions, thus reducing the amount of haze currently blocking the sun, said a concerned Gibson...

Mel Gibson: GIVE ME BACK MY SON!

  • someone puleeeeeeeeeeeeese give this man back his son!

  • Interesting movie. I didn't understand the end, though. Did anyone else?

    And one more thing:

    GIVE ME BACK MY SON!

  • lol I almost fell out of my chair laughing!

    GIMME BACK MY SON!

  • I remember when this movie came out and they were advertising it on TV ... you couldn't have the TV on for five minutes without hearing that "Give me back my son" shit. It drove me insane. They played that commercial so much I wanted to kill myself. I think it was on the radio also. Another one of Mel's crimes against humanity ...

  • I remember seeing the commercial for the film's HBO premiere over and over, and it too got on my nerves. Go watch some videos on "Give me back my son!" made at ytmnd. Some of them are hilarious.

  • Here comes the new meme!

  • Mel Gibson is a great actor, the star of Hollywood!!!

  • Jim Rome, sports talk show host, has me hooked on Give Me Back My Son! He played it like 40 times in a row one day and it had me in tears. It's my ringtone now and it's my favorite one liner in a movie, ever. Sorry Ahnold!

  • How did you get that as a ringtone?

  • I can email it to you if you want, I made one by just repeating it over and over with sound software

  • No doubt. Romey's show rules.

  • best video evARR!!!!

  • "Give me back my son!" You heard the man!

  • you think he has his son?

  • ha ha this shit is great

  • but then again ruffisgreat, is well, a loser, lmao

  • If you actually saw the movie, you'd know this scene is not at all funny.

  • I saw it an yea, it still is pretty funny

  • Well, that's a matter of opinion, and you are certainly entitled to yours.

  • Uh oh, somebody is pulling out the serious card. GIMME BACK MY THREAD!

  • ummm, yeah, actually it is. Hurry back to reality with the rest of us.

  • I saw the movie. The scene is dramatic, but I like the line. Now...

    GIVE ME BACK MY SON!

  • I just thought it was hilarious, thats all

  • Hilarious!!! A lot of people just don't know how wacky that whole "Give me back my son" bit is.

  • hahahahhahahaha i wanna see this movie
