Hello there! :) I have the same unit as yours. :) Currently, I have the stock cpu which is a Core 2 Duo (E7300) 2.66GHz and Nvidia GT120. I'm planning to upgrade my pc. Is Intel Core 2 Quad (Q8400) 2.66GHz and Nvidia GTS 250 compatible with my computer? :) Thanks. :)

@altairx26 yes, core2 quad Q8200 ( 4 core ) can be use in Acer FMCP7AM motherboard.

now I using 1GB nVidia graphic card and 8GB DDR2 RAM in dual channel mode.

I will not upgrade again, will focus for core i7 processor ( 8 core ) with triple channel RAM system

markchern! good lord i finally found what im looking for, i have same rig as you, Acer m5711 but its 4gb when i first bought it im planning to upgrade to 8gb but im no pc expert, could you tell me something about acer's system compatability? any specific hardware i could use to add to my current system?

@markchern so mixing brand is fine? .. not i understand some quite few things.. my fsb is running at 333mhz i want it at 400mhz to maximize the use but i cant change the ettings in bios, actually there is nothing in bios to change the values.. you have an idea how to?

@kustomkarson mixing brand is ok, original bios is not allowed you to increase the fsb speed, the easy way is to download the over clocking software to increase it, including graphic card core speed over clocking.

be careful, the system will not be stable. not recommend, system too hot problem must be solve.

EM64T is to support 64bit operating system.

Need for Speed Carbon - very well

in maximum resolutions - 1680 x 1050

usually no need that higher resolution, you just select the comfortable game play resolution for yourselves.

it can save a lot of system resource

more RAM better, now arm with DDR 2 - total 8GB RAM

our mainboard didn't support SLI graphic card crossfire design, we only have 1 PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot.

but we can run RAID 0 to speed up the performance, this machine come with nVidia Media Shield software. ( need 2 harddisk )

all kind of desktop 240 pin DDR2 PC-6400 RAM can be add-on to our mainboard.

or faster RAM like Kingston Hyper-X series, Corsair High Performance RAM, or those ECC Fully Buffered Value RAM, it make your compurter like F1 racing speed.

Thanks man, i downloaded the CPU-Z.. It helped, we have the same motherboard xD I looked at the motherboard nForce 730i.. I'm not good with computers but can i put 2 video cards on it's motherboard? and what kind of RAM can i use on the 2 empty slots? xD Thanks, this helped alot..
