  • Very good!

  • Bought this album in 2001, still listen to it today

  • Still epic. Always will be.

  • Damn, I played this album at a low point in my life. Listening to it in a more progressed mindset brings back the memories.

  • I love this CD.

  • This song has been with me through a really harsh time during my life - words cannot explain how much I adore it.

  • Hearing music from the old days make me sad.. Music seems to have died today :(

  • @ahmetatmaca i know right...it just aint like it used to be...im 21 and i remember listening to this when i was just a kid

  • pega!!

  • Shes so awesome. Damn band was jealous of her.

  • @babylonkid 100% agree!!!!

  • @babylonkid Actually I just found out she was a poster girl and nothing more for the band. I agree very much that she was a very effective poster girl = sexy as hell and cool voice, but Chris Corner actually sang on this album to start with and has written all the lyrics from the beginning, and when you do some research ont he band you realize jealousy is the last thing on their minds, just so you don't insult the people who made this brilliant album you're listnn to ;)

  • @papapetad Anyway, just an article I had read a few years ago. Thanks for nothing.

  • @babylonkid Then why did you feel the need to shit on the rest of the band. The message in every song is something quite powerful but the only vibe you get from her singing is sex. Very good for selling albums, not so good for projecting messages. That's why she left the band. Misinformation is the reason the world is turning to shit right now. Now I agree that her voice suits this music to a T and I prefer this album to pretty much anything else they have done but I don't discredit them for it

  • sick ass list...thank you

  • Cool song......

  • This song is sssoooo sexy!

  • wow that was wicKed, i thought this was a static album cover shot til it started trippin out. loooved it! nice affect and timing with this excellent song

  • 1+1=2 Sneakers+Pimps= Kelli

  • Ive had very few Cds that went front to back good trackes.

This is one of them for sure.

  • sweet song.

  • Cool, I like it!

  • What genre of music would you call this?

  • @CalcuttaClippers

Everytime I've heard them referenced, it's been as "trip-hop."

  • @CalcuttaClippers Trip Hop, just like Tricky and Massive Attack. if you like this, i would definitely recommend those 2

  • @CalcuttaClippers trip-hop experimental maybe?

  • Love the music !!!!!

    THANKS.

  • So many badass memories of my teenage years. Thanks for posting.

  • 63 People are morons for agreeing with Gellis2009.

  • @Skelliosis: Becoming X - 5 chart singles, Splinter+Bloodsport 3 chart singles - numbers are with Gellis2009

  • @harkonen77 If you equate music quality with popularity and chart numbers, sure.

  • @Skelliosis idk man, they did kinda change there direction in a bad way when she left... not saying she had all the talent she only did vocals (i think some guitar too), but by chance when she left they started to suck pretty bad compared to other trip hop groups

  • @hellchild65 Woman, actually. You're entitled to your opinion, of course. They did change, but I thought if it more as an evolution. Bloodsport was, in my opinion, their best album and it was the last. Totally different than the first. Way more personal. It all depends on your taste, I suppose. As Corner said, they didn't WANT to be included in the trip hop, girl vocalist genre that was going on at the time. It's just what happened, so they changed it.

  • Still hear this on radio and at random, that's how solid this whole album was. What, like 16 years now? So good.

  • @craftinvegas Wow. Wish we had shit like this in OK. It's a miracle to hear Sublime...

  • @craftinvegas Man that must be a good radio station. Nothing around here plays music as great as the Sneaker Pimps.

  • @craftinvegas you hear it on the radio???? lucky sob , only alternative or rock station we have plays the same shit for last 20 yrs , if i hear flies in the vaseline again i may be the first person to commit suicide by drowning in it

  • I listen to this Whole CD for a long time.. and just enjoyed it. Not too hard not too soft.. Just a great CD to sit and chill too.. Kelly Ali voice is just the things wet dreams are made of.

  • this is the meaning of truly underrated. this was put together absolutely perfectly

  • I LOVE TRIP-HOP :)

  • I hate how grate bands like these

    aren't recognized!

  • @iamxstardust1 I believe the word you were looking for is "great"

  • i own this album

  • this is dope, was like nodding head to the beat then guitar was on point, niiice

  • this is dope

  • i fucking love this album,..nothing wrong from beginning to end....low place like home....

  • I LOVE IAMX

  • LOVE THE SNEAKER PIMPS!!!!! GREAT DRIVING MUSIC!!! THEY ARE MY TOP STATION ON PANDORA!!!!!!!

  • This aint Kansas Toto !

  • when i stroll with this song on i want to fucking kill everyone on sight || just my thoughts =]

  • @yokotas same :-)

  • @yokotas well someone should probably kill you before you snap you sick fuck.

  • @Disposition446 well, you are certainly welcome to try

  • velvet divorce is better, by a smidge. :)

  • How can you not like this.?

  • Class tune, 9 people are Bieber mongs.

  • this song is really delicious

  • Sneaker Pimps is all about Chris Corner. He orchestrated everything that made the SP great. All the people out there who start the Kelli vs Chris crap arguments seem to forget that she was a figurehead, hired to sing the stuff just like Chris told her to. Her creativity can be easily measured by the complete LACK of success her solo albums have had. Chris, you rule. Kelli, don't cry about the door hitting your ass on the way out.

  • @anomander420 Dude, it was her voice that made this band great when they were great. She could have sang Mary Had a Little Lamb with that band and it would have been incredible. I am sure what's his face was an important creative element, but every song that they've made since losing their voice has sucked so bad that it regularly gives people herpes.

  • @anomander420 But really sometimes it's about the chemistry Kelli and Chris and the band had together. Now that she's gone they suck.

  • Comment removed

  • excellent song

  • I'm addicted to the album <3

  • EENDAGSVLIEG,Jammer.

  • When this cd first came out, I called the record label and their manager for a glosssy photo of the band and she sent me one. That was cool of her. The I send to see them in Hollywood when they played. Kick ass show.

  • I think it is so funny when ppl complain that we should not complain about kelli getting kicked out etc..well i say shut the hell up, we will bitch piss and moan if we want to. she is scorching hot, voice and looks..and they may have gone on to make a few good songs after her, but over all without her I put them in the they suck department. just my opinion.

  • it would be interesting to see karin from the knife do something with sneaker pimps

  • I think I am trippin' this image seems distorted sometimes!

  • During this song I went crazy one night. Have you ever stared at a screen for three hours dude try it. Make the screen hug and stair at only that. It is so trippy! I was lost man. My friends were like wtf I swear I was drooling all over the place. I had an orgasm to this song just by listening with headphones in my underwear in the cold !@# air conditioning in a leather chair. WOOOHOOO it was the best night of my life rolling balls I swear you wont regret it. ;}

  • this track really rocks!

  • Kelli Ali is too bad in live ! Ok, she's hot & she has a childish voice, but I don't really like her. I prefer Chris, his voice has more personality, and that's good in live.

  • @proudblond this comment sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are right about how hot she is.

  • Sneaker Pimps were popular before Kelli joined the band. The band constantly evolves and changes it sound each album. Kelli brought a completely different feel and sound to SP. She was a great addition to the SP lineup and although not the greatest vocalist, she fit right in with the direction the band was going at the time. It's too bad "Becoming X" was the only album with this great pairing.

  • In Memoriam: THOMAS BRADY-- Thanks for THIS, I LOVE YA~! (and, yeah, she's totally, super-hot!), back in '98; miss you like the plague, my brother-from-another-mother's-lover... DAMN!

  • this is the embodiment of the 90's for me.....SuZiQ

  • really cool album acquired it 7 years ago recommended it by to girls who were very fond of

  • In the dark, you just have to guess and take the shot anyway. (katalina translates) It's all a matter of self-preservation. Are you worth it? Where does this stuff come from?

  • love umm

  • Not the same without her... =(

  • @THgurl945

No, obviously they wont be the same, but they were still good without her. Listen to Lighting Field, Loretta Young Silks and Bloodsport and tell me different.

  • @adrenalinflow

I'm perfectly aware of those songs. And they're good, matter a fact, there AWESOME., But Im just stating an opinion. Thanks

  • love the album becoming x

  • I fucking love sneaker pimps!

and only the becoming x cd. that was their

only good cd, in my opinion anyway.

Kelli's voice is so sensual and gets you

hooked. Ive had this cd on repeat for days

  • miss her voice always

  • SNEAKER PIMPS KICK ASS!!!

  • OLD SKOOL SP is kick ass !!!

  • one of the few cd's ever made that's excellent from beginning to end

  • agreed

  • @nt0xik8ed agreed :)

  • @nt0xik8ed i just posted the same comment on another track! this album is GOLD!! ALL killer.. NO filler.. i fkn love it

  • @figjam271 i think this is the first cd i had to replace because i wore it out

  • @figjam271 i think this is the first cd i had to replace because i wore it out

  • @nt0xik8ed

    I agree 1000%. Andrew

  • Too bad they let her go.... this band had such a great sound and her voice was a very important part of it. Brings back some great memories.

  • that cd booklet had a picture inside it that did not look like her

  • WAAH! Love sock kitten on the hand of Deus. RAS IV ("Katalina Translates")

  • man i had to listed this song for 4 four times to like it and now i love it.

  • I love accent, her voice, her looks and her soul. Otherwise she's okay.

  • I agree Gellis..getting rid of Kelli was sooo stupid..hey um great move guys, why to ruin a great band.

  • The band went down hill the moment they got rid of her

  • @Gellis2009 I think not...

  • @SCHULTZEH

My thoughts exactly. Chris Corner rocked that shit 100X better.

  • @Gellis2009 disagree. Bloodsport, Loretta Young Silks, Destroying Angel, Kiro TV, The Fuel. All awesome songs.

  • @Gellis2009 i agree! what the heck happened with that?! i did like a couple songs with the all guys but it wasnt anything fantastic

  • @Gellis2009 it only got better

  • @scorpiodigit I'm inclined to agree with Gellis.

  • @Gellis2009 very true.

  • @Gellis2009 What are u smoking? Lies?

  • Ahhh... Sneaker Pimps reminds me of my childhood... my mother got me hooked on them when I was 7. Loved Becoming X and Becoming RemiXed.

  • @pickledantlers you have a cool fuckin mother

  • I listen to the album at work a lot. Especially during slow night shifts.

  • It's good to listen to, all the time

  • i listen to this album every night around 2:00pm. its really relaxing

  • great album its good to listen to in the bath

  • is it normal to fall in love with someones voice

  • yes. yes it is.

  • I fell in love with her voice too. amazing voice. I am glad many, many others feel the same way about her and the album. I think kicking her out was one of the biggest blunders. I know she was a bit wild, she did appear drunk one time on Loveline with Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla. They were on the show in 1996.

  • @Ryanyarb24 What musician doesn't aspire to become a drug addict or alcoholic :)? Besides, most shows are overrated or just pathetic in general, so I'm sure her showing up drunk didn't lower their ratings at all :).

  • yeah plus drugs brought us the best music ever. beatles? high. rolling stones? high. zep? high. floyd? high. every bit of music worth listening to was probably written&/recorded under the influence of some drug.

  • @pandresa absolutely agree.

  • they are just ahead of their time

  • One of the best albums EVER! I used to listen to this CD all night delivering for Pizza Hut when I was19-20 years old. Good music, free pizza, and a toke for every delivery. Ahh to be young again. Now I have to buy my pizza. :D

  • no more words 4 explain this awesome song!!!!!

  • The SP were in some ways the ultimate 90s band - trip hop riffs and vocals mixed with grunge loud/quiet and rigourously moody teenager lyrics.

Looking back on it, I can see why the excution never quite lived up to the concept.

  • love this song without her it is SHIT!!!

  • Great song! Doesn't matter who is singing, Chris or Kelli, the song is awesome!

  • Good Stuff!!

  • great song to listen to while

    having sex

    under the influence

or just anytime of the day :D

  • I know when I saw that I shit my pants, picked it up, then licked my hands clean....

  • thank u for posting this!

  • their best track

  • this song is amazng!

  • everythime i hear this song...i always have a hit woman or a female gangster in mind...

  • ..would love to see some live performance on youtube from the 90's!!

  • still one of my favorite albums.

shame they couldn't put out a few more.

  • This song and album kick serious ass. Love the rhythms, music, feel, everything. For me its a classic album. one for the ages. I also think I like Kelli Alli better than the New SP's. But that's just me. To me they're the new millennium equivalent of Van Hagar.

  • fuckin right, i tried to get into their new shit, but without this girl's voice it's not the same AT ALL. for me at least. the sneaker pimps that i know and have enjoyed so much is wrapped up in kelli alli's voice

  • keep going back to the sneakers, one of the best for that time, repeat batpawns comments. spot on mate.

  • good god, i love this song. so many nostalgic memories and feelings from the time when i began "really" listening to music. it's such a fantastic intro for an wonderful album. really really great times.

  • Outstanding album and outstanding artists

  • agreed (:

  • Oh shit! the new singer is the best, I can't wait to SP5 to come up, It's taking TO FUCKING LONG. but it's totally different from becoming x anyway, I love this music!

  • now chirs has all of the light he wanted , the little light that he even has...

  • best coke cd of all time. ahhh the memories!!

  • love it

  • Damn I miss Kelli with them...

  • me too, well i just got into them but i wish she had stayed with them. this album is amazing, i didn't get into the other ones as much.

  • Yeah me neither.

  • i bought the cd ... becoming X at a yard sale and i listened to it and :Low place like home- is my favorite song on the album,... thank god for yard sales lol

    :) im addicted..:)

  • LOL. They really were something no with Kelli Dayton , I really miss those days of the Sneaker Pimps. My favorite track is "Waterbaby" thanks for your comment.

  • omfg thats my fav track too but everybody just kinda looks worried when i say that

    0.o

  • If you like it, just say it! fuck the rest;)

  • @afa78djd mines " velvet divorce" and then "no place like home" she was the best-est way back when. :)

  • low place like home(8) i love it!!!!

  • I first heard 6 underground in 97 or 98, whenver it was out on the radio. I bought this CD a couple of months ago and I think it's one of the best albums I've heard. I'm addicted to it. And I must echo the sentiment that without Kelli they are garbage. They totally fucked up in a big way. She may not have the strongest voice, but it's well beyond the voice. it's the chemistry, the image, the whole package was just perfect.

  • I Couldn't agree more with you bro. Kelli was their ticket to fame and ever since she left, or they kicked her out more like, they are nothing!!

    Thanks for your wonderful words.

  • i cant listen to any of the songs with him in them. Shes f&ckn hot, and i dont want to hear him when im listening to it!

  • Comment removed

  • @knowlgo I discovered this band by accident because PLACEBO´s singer Brian Molko mentioned them as one of his favourite bands. I appreciate his excellent taste in music. This band is really awesome. They have a bit of Garbage and Massive Attack. Don´t hit me, I have to say that the girl does the better job for the band. It´s her voice! Very special, sultry, dirty and auspiciously. I´m female, but -hey guys- I´m sure you know what I mean!!

  • This was one of my favorite albums for awhile...I can't stand them without her singing.

  • exactly the same here!

  • theres two albums the one above in the pic and a commercial shit one where can i get the one above please

  • I had no idea there was another one, I've just seen this one, "Becoming X".. although there is another Remix CD, "Becoming Remixed" but that's not an actual album.

  • good luck if u try a 2nd hand cd store u might be able to but yea this cd was the shit!

  • Nothing without Kelli...

  • This is such a great tune... Man, I wish Sneaker Pimps had kept Kelli Ali as the lead singer... They're sound was sick as hell! Her solo stuff is great too...

  • it's ok. more a theme for something kewl.
