I play goalie for my high school team. i thought i could improve my drop kick enough to kick it the length of my field but this was ZERO HELPFUL i thought it would tell me more i was mistaken apparently
y wud u do that?!!? and y wud u ever try to dropkick a ball from inside the 6? i, personally, go out to the 18 if I'm going to punt a ball, or atleast thats how i was always taught...
first, if your coaching the bloody sport have some respect and call it FOOTBALL, second your s shit cunt, third drop kicks are not the only way to kick, there is also drop punt, and side volley. its personal preference really,
my senior keeper drop kicks it, i side-volley it, and how coach drop punts it. they are all accurate in long range.
lol your kick sucks sooo hard xD and why would you bounce the ball no need for that... and also why the small steps with big steps you will get more power ;)
my punting skills suck but i don't drop kick either ever since i messed it up one time during a game all i do is ask one of my LB's or RB's to kick for me.
his demonstration kick was not even good, you can tell it went almost straight from his foot, and didnt gain any loft. Plus this is useless if your already comfortable with the traditional way of kicking it from the air.
This is terrible. Why bounce the ball, it's not necessary!!!! What a dumbass. Why drop kick it, it's not necessary - you end up fkin it up, like this expert dude does in the video. It hardly goes over his head and it spins off to one side.
You hardly ever see pros doing this because of this reason. Why try and teach kids to do this?
DUDE YOU ARE AN IDIOT. Hope Solo, the best female goalkeeper in the world drop kicks all the time and so do msot other goalies. Drop kicks are extremely directional and are great for starting a counter attack quickly.
Punts just go high and far, drop kicks are far more directional. If you really don't think they are, you truely are an idiot! Punts make an extreme curve upwards and often wind will move them but dropkicks are more driven and stay lower which makes targeting a player easier.
Yeah, punts aren't as accurate. Punts are used to waste time. Rolling the ball and kicking it from the ground is good and accurate but try a dropkick, if youre good at it, and you will see how directional they are. That's why tons of professionals do drop kicks.
lol ok i agree the guys having troulbe speaking but he actually is right. but as for him going to England to see how they play. your name "Southampton" hes defenetly not gonna learn any part of the game from any one there lol
So are many clubs. also it's necessary to learn proper technique in such events of a physical education lesson, this is very similar to that kind of situation however it is not as accurate.
Nice kick

why do ppl drop kick instead of a regular punt? what does it do?
j12di 2 years ago
because you need to get the ball to your team mates... if you leave it there to punt...then a forward can POSSIBLY take it away and score...
there is a video when that happend it was funny LOL

None of the tips he gives he actually does... three steps? lean back? Shoelace?
Instead he did: Five steps, lean forward, instep kick
PutoProzak 2 years ago 23
His technique is awful!! Those little steps, the ball spinning, and crossing over his leg!? He must be a recreational coach, and I'm being generous.
PutoProzak 2 years ago 3
Haha yeah, you wanna take big last steps so that you can have a bigger motion with your leg and thus create more power to kick the ball with.
Killzorzbee 2 years ago
you crazy touching the ball on the ground before kick it???other goalies doesnt do that...

drphil95 2 years ago 39
Idiot
rubiconsoccerkag 2 years ago 2
It is hilarious when he's bouncing the ball and jigging his feet. Then all those little steps and a kick.
He twists his body to the right at the end which makes the ball spin off to the right.
Sure you see the odd goalie doing these drop kicks (not bouncing the ball) but it's definitely not more accurate than a regular kick.
I'm definitely not the idiot here.
911mapper 2 years ago
@drphil95 a punt makes the ball go straight up. and a drop kick lets it go straight out a drop kick is used for counter attacks i think.
