What a great tune!!!co written and co produced by Gloria 'Tainted Love' Jones and her brother,the late great 'Big' Richard Jones,both of which were in turn helped in their musical careers by the late great Marc Bolan.

As far as I know there are three versions of the song the original 1976 EMI 7" single mix and the 7 and 12" mix which came out in 1979 on the Sidewalk label.

Not sure if there ever was a 12" EMI mix at all,nver seen a copy yet,but would love to get one if it does exist.

I was just 12 years when this song was being on radio broadcasting many times everyday. I remember that in High School one girl used to bring a Panasonic radio cassette player and just the teacher left the clasroom and he or she was far away, my girl classmate pressed "Play" and 8 or 10 buddies jump to front of the blackboard and they started to dance as crazies. I forgot about this version. It was released on 45 in '78. The version that goes with this promo is a little different. They used to make several versions of disco songs back then (longer and shorter, added verses...) And unlike many dance songs of the past 20 yrs....they used real instruments.
