You shouldn't sleep with your hair in a ponytail. The hair tie puts stress on your hair and weakens the hair where the bow squeezes your hair together, this is why the best thing to do is wrap straightened hair after using a light moisturizer at night or apply foam rollers to wet hair. Pony tails are a quick fix. If you want your hair to grow you must take the time to put it up properly before you go to sleep. Keep the tight ponytails down to a minimum and you will notice vast hair growth.

The ponytail is VERY LOOSE thus eliminating tension. in doing this method, my hair grew close to mid-back. Many people do not wrap their hair and their hair is very long. It all depends on how u treat ur hair. LOOSE pony's will not cause tension. If anything, itll promote growth because you wont have to comb your hair everyday like u would if u were wrapping. low maintainance = growth. also,

What i put in the bottle was S-curl, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and water. It did keep my hair moist but i also sprayed enough for it to be damp and stay damp throughout the day.

Thank you my nape always gets left out when I put my satin bonnet on at night. MY nape also gets left out when I deep condition. I will have to get a silk scarf especially for my nape. Right now I am using nettle tea as a moisturizer and sealing it with castor oil. My nape is not as long as yours but it is growing. I think they will fill in even more now that I've seen this video. How do you deep condition your nape?

Your welcome! I deep condition the hair at my nape the exact same way i deep condition the rest of my hair. Slap on the conditioner...make sure to put a little extra around ur nape and ur temple because thats where you hair tends to be the weakest. Cover with shower cap and sit under the dryer :)

Personally, I have tried nearly all of the "black hair products" and Doo Gro left my hair greasy and then dry. The ingredients are really bad. But you know paul mitchel, avocado oil, and terax crema work AMAZING for my hair.

I think Doo gro plays on black women cuz they know if they put "something-grow" on their product, we always fall for it. And that company know darn well they do not use quality ingredients.

My hair used to shrink like that but that was b4 i got a perm. I have a perm in my hair so wetting it doesnt shrink it anymore. It only makes it wavy. Everyones hair is different though. :)

put ur hair in a little bun. unless your hair is extremely long, when in a bun, a snack bag should be able to cover it up really well :) For my temples I use castor oil, peppermint oil....nothing serious. Im just not putting so much stress on it and keeping it moisturized. my temples r still thin but its been like that since i was a child. so theres not much helping that LoL

thank you for sharing your tips. Now I understand the "bagging" method of moisturizing the ends of your hair. I will be very helpful for me since I live in the Mojave Desert (Las Vegas). I will definately being using the "bagging method" and using the long scarf to protect and snooth the hair at the nape of my neck where it tends to be dry and much shorter than the rest of the hair on head.
