  • The lyrics were ahead of their time.....

  • @4hotspur I know right, I was playing it in my car and everyone was saying how they remember it... then a silence fell over the place and everyone said, This guy was pretty ahead of his time wasnt he.

So glad its not just me that thinks that!

  • He is the CEO of some media company licensing foreign films (source, his own website)

  • ça ressemble vraiment à rien putain

  • @rochefort82 C'est que tu n'as aucun gout donc...

  • He ain't dead, he went back to india to act as an aid worker (thnx wiki).

  • @KittInTheHead lolwhat? he runs a movie producing business :L

  • Great song! This song went no.1 in 18 countries :) Any chance of a remix?

  • anyone else find this music video fucking creepy...

  • Super!!!

  • That song was number one in the charts, something like 15 years ago. If i remember correctly.

  • Cant....stop.....watching

  • Woah, completely forgot about this.

  • I remember seeing this on Top of the Pops in 1996! Was only 9 then and still is a great song. They should bring back TOTP!

  • I was just inspired by this song to design a pair of spacey shoes on Vein Wear's website. Vein men's shoes is having a One Hit Wonder competition on Facebook. Get inspired by a one hit wonder and have the chance to get your design hand made by master cobblers.

  • The guy from mushroomsdmt's youtube Channel look just like this singer.

  • I remember they also had the hit ''boy with the x ray eyes''

  • Ma marilyn manson con "i don't like the drugs" ha preso spunto da questo video secondo me...!! :-) Grande canzone e grandi ricordi!

  • Beautiful guy with great eyes, fucking amazing song, and ALIENS! Nothing else needed. This is just perfect.

  • The remix is the best part of this song .

    Just love it .

  • cazzo ero in prima media !!!!!!

  • i just made an acoustic cover ;) watch?v=dqsWofZjTEM&fb_source=message

  • It wasn't the only hit they ever had.

Animal Army charted soon after this. Just because most people have a goldfish memory doesn't mean it wasn't a hit.

Distinctly remember it being on ITV's The Chart Show at lunchtime on a Saturday.

  • 0:16 tll 0:35 is the Best ^^

  • did they shoot on the nazca lines at all? The scene where they zoom out of the band on what appears to be a large airstrip?

  • damn good song

  • the end of the song is what i like the most!

  • He has a cute face and smile. Oo

  • I love this song. What is he yelling at 2:00? I think I heard "Lucky Charm"

  • @TobisamaAnimation i think it says 'i killed john' man

  • bellissima

  • @dottorm1 no mate, im just saying that the song is now 15 years old and the time went real quick. Jas Mann is still alive and well. He doesnt make movies anymoree though, he does films and stuff now

  • The part from 0:35 till 4:01 ruined the part from 0:00 - 0:35 and vice versa

  • This song alone, forever better than Marilyn Manson's whole "omega" era

  • awesome voice.

  • que buenos recuerdos me trae este temazo!!

  • One of the bests songs from 90s.

  • Absolutely love this song, but I also feel that something just as astounding could be done with just the intro and the outro, it's disappointing that nothing that lives up to my modest expectatiions exists. Again, much love for the middle of the song too.

  • To say Jas Mann is to say THE man who's totally Babylon Zoo.

He's the Chungwit the Biff Boff and the Puff Pastry Hangman.

  • My dad was listen to it while i was a baby.

  • I first knew of this band via a track called "Parallel lines" on an NME cover tape in 1994 (as I remember), which I liked. I think that track is better than Spaceman.

  • I used to be sweet on Jas Mann when I was 14, then later on Brian Molko because he looked a bit like Jas at that time.

  • Is he saying "I killed John" in the song?

  • @Theonedue, 'i killed YOUR', In the demo he sings, I killed your mother, I killed your Brother, I killed your...' but that was edited for the single release.

  • Creepy...

  • i'm so glad my parents grew me up with this kind of music

  • what happened to this guy!!??

  • @jcSoco Actually, he is an executive director at a film production company, and is owner os a discography too! Greetings

  • @jcSoco

He started his first company called Immortal Features in 2006. He is currently the CEO of Indomina Media Inc. and maintains a house in Wolverhampton.

  • @jcSoco Idk, but i want him back

  • @jcSoco spaceman took him to his planet far away from here!!!!

  • @jcSoco He went to India to work for an aid agency

  • @pjano11 srsly??

  • @jcSoco Apparently nothing, this was their only hit.

  • @voon100 They had another hit animal army

  • @jcSoco He took proudly his place into Valhala and let us mere mortals forget about him...

  • @jcSoco he's in space ;)

  • @jcSoco He disappeared shortly after making this video??????

  • This song is more Epic than Jesus

  • @redbart666 ahahahahahha))) you're so wrong... OMG how wrong you are...

  • @redbart666 Wtf?! Really! The 90's where the best decade ever! Great music-movies-video games yeah the web was a bit crap, but c'mom it was a toddler in 96 and everyday it grew stronger better. Those where the days!! The future was going to be bright! The future was going to be excellent because the future was taking place right here right now and we the people where making it happen!

  • Original was better

  • this guy was da love of my life

  • Used to think this was Babylon Zoo and the chipmunks when I was a kid lol Cause of the chipmunkd parts

  • Best viewed without sound, it shows just how stupid the video shots are and of course the woman walking away near the end in the background with her hand sign of Satans servants - tells it all.

  • THANK YOUU for hq (:

  • ADORE IT!!!

  • awesome song =D

  • freakin awesome!

  • One-Hit-Wonder...sort of...and echoes of Bowie and Bolan (more so on follow-up Animal Army...particularly Bolan) but this was the last great DIFFERENT single...in my opinion. Fucking Hell...you gotta go back to the 90's to get a buzz. Lots of Brett Anderson here too :) xx

  • i think, Jas Man(n?) was the role model for Aldous Snow =)

  • Heh, actually this video is quite good. I think I could say I almost like it as much as the happy hardcore version :)

  • this music video, and song could be a hit if it had released today. just with some small changes .

  • 90's favorite song~~

  • why the hell is it so hard to find this song! when I was younger we got an entire bus of people singing it :D

  • @OzKrazien that I would LOVE to see haha!

    AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

  • Still a decent song, clearly someone had been listening to Bowie though. 1:23 - 1:35 he even does the voice.

  • Epic

  • 0:32 to skip the intro.

  • @drunkalfuzzyness Why would you skip the intro? It's the best part of the song!

  • @FaizC16 for me its not, i love the other lyrics too and how sot of grungy it sounds.

  • @FaizC16 and the ending

what ever happened to Jass Man?

  • One of my earliest memories is being about 3 years old, being in the car at night with my mother driving and hearing a very electro sounding repetition of the words 'spaceman spaceman spaceman' then about 1 year ago i rediscovered this song and i was like omg i remember.

The memory of being 3 years old has stayed with me ever since.

  • @JarrodCook93 same for me, i remember this song from a very early age and it stayed in my head ever since, about 3 months ago i heard the song in a TV ad and was like omg!!! ive heard that somewhere, so i spent a while looking for it even though i didnt know the name or who made it, in the end i used what lyrics i could remember of the song and found it that way. i love youtube and Spaceman ;).

  • Probably one of the best one hit song ever!! With lyrics like "I can't get off the carousel" x3 "I can't get off this world"....... "I can't get off the carousel" x3 "I can't fall off this world" Pure classic!!
