Maybe the lack of determination and drive in the modern lifters makes him angry. When your the best at somethign and you watch others not do their absolute best it has a way of getting under your skin. He probbaly realizes things that you don't. Like the fact that most of the modern lifters are doping even if they say they aren't. How can he possibley be bitter? He was one of the best? Maybe he is proud of his accomplishments and gets upset at others outdoing him because they use drugs.

He won the Arnold Classic Strongest Man contest once while Savickas won it six times in a row and ran with 1,100 pounds on his back at the 2008 Arnold Classic. Jon Pall, Marisuz, and Magnus Ver Magnusson won a strongest man contest four times and big Kaz three times. Bendikt Magnusson has tire deadlifted 1,100 pounds, Mendelson has raw bench pressed 715 pounds and I think Andy Bolton holds the total record at 2,806 pounds.
