  • @ethian46 Though it seems to be steeped in meaning, according to lyricist/drummer Neil Peart, there is no meaning at all in this song. When asked in the April/May 1980 Modern Drummer magazine about whether there is a message to this song,

    Not sure if you ever got an answer on this, but, most likely there was an increase in the speed which produces higher pitch (key)... slower playback produces lower key

  • @Ruhiel8 : It is labled as "The Trees [Vault Edition]" on Rockband 2 though, of course, it is understandable that some songs (like this one I would assume) might have been rerecorded to separate the audio.
