Not sure if you ever got an answer on this, but, most likely there was an increase in the speed which produces higher pitch (key)... slower playback produces lower key
@Ruhiel8 : It is labled as "The Trees [Vault Edition]" on Rockband 2 though, of course, it is understandable that some songs (like this one I would assume) might have been rerecorded to separate the audio.
