"If man was made from dirt, why is there still dirt?"
Between this, and your responses to those who have commented on this video, I think I may be in love.
This video is absolutely fantastic and spot on, as are your comments in reply to those who are asking questions. It is sad to think that those who don't accept evolution as fact simply don't understand it.
Anyway, the combination of all these things will definitely be leading me to favorite your video and see what else you have in store.
Well for one thing if you think about it because you believe in no type of afterlife that you just were born than die, then essentially you eventually end up as actual dirt and get your nutrients recycled into the ground for use by plants. Also I have to ask you a question if we humans evolved from an ape, then why are there still apes around and why are they not changing today?
Let me get this straight, you're actually asking the question that is so stupid that I made a video mocking it?
Why are their still apes. Because they are a common ancestor. If we evolved from other mammals why are their still mammals. If Americans descended from the British, why are their still British folk? -- Heh.
The British aren't the same British of King George, just as there are Americans and Australians who are descended from the same population, but aren't that population.
It isn't that humans evolved from chimps and there's still chimps, but rather humans and chimps evolved from the same common ancestor.
Chimps aren't the chimp-human ancestor and the British aren't the British of the 18th century.
There's apes because humans are apes, they just moved (and diverged from the common ancestor).
Which would have been an African woodland ape some 6 million years ago, definitively a primate and a great ape.
I mean the common ancestor between humans and trees isn't even a bacteria (rather a eukaryote) so what would possess you to think that fellow apes would have a bacterial common ancestor?
And, there's every reason to suppose that the eukaryote domain evolved from the prokaryotes. Which is a far cry from suggesting that two great apes have a most recent bacterial ancestor. The most recent ancestor between humans and E. Coli may well be be a prokaryote. But, myself an another great ape will, according to basic cladistics, be a great ape.
We're not. In fact, every human is host for a trillion bacteria. We are drenched in their domination and are indebted to them to live.
However as far as mammals go, the only creatures close are the creatures who have ridden our coattails into domestication. Society and technology are novel traits and pretty well dwarfs biological change. There's a number of good reasons humans do pretty well.
To those Christians who say. "I am not a Creationist" I say, what exactly do you believe?
You seem to be saying, I belive this bit of "holy scripture" but not that bit.
This is called cherry picking "holy scripture" to fit my own point of view.
If you don't believe part of the bible, how can you believe any of it? Either it is "holy scripture inspired by God" or it is just a bunch of old myths.
Hey, just so you know this is Sparrowhawk here...guy who posts on your blog.
To answer your question about the mother/father side, the answer is simple. Well, if you go with Genesis 2 you are mud on your dad's side, and rib (mud rib?) on your mom's.
I didn't say all Christians are calling me mud. I say "you Christians", namely those that are.
I'm sure there are some Christians who might very well accept that God is a powerless figurehead that had nothing to do with the origin and progress of life on this planet over the a couple billion years of evolution. -- But, there are some who do.
You are mud if you dont show up for the rap battle

@bellymanbutton I have to assume you're joking. Though, I am torn as there's huge numbers of people exactly that confused.

@Tatarize i am joking

We Christians never believed that man was made from F***ing mud. We believe that man was made from normal mud.

i dont think you answered the question.
To evolve wouldnt it mean that organism became something else, so if the organism evolved why is the "older" version still around.
And theres british because americans are british they just moved.
so that was a fail.

so why is the common ancestor still around?
EmmanuelTromboner 2 years ago
It's not. The common ancestor of humans and chimps lived some 5-7 million years ago and is no longer in existence.
Obviously.
-- If man was made into mud, why iz they still mud.

Which was bacteria right?
Can you rephrase that?

the theory of eukaryotes evolving from prokaryotess.

You cannot have it both ways.

BTW: Most of that was not my words, but the words of several priests, ministers, vicars I know.
marsoft4647back 2 years ago
You can have it both ways by having it both ways. Just accept as true the parts you want and dump the rest. Done.
Sure, cherry picking is so very naughty, then I'm sure you're out there protesting with the Phelps right?

Creationist responses aren't the same as general Christian responses.
lanastompanato 2 years ago
In YT... yes they are. The average Christian for some reason doesn't have the urge to spout nonsense on video.
TETSUno1 2 years ago
There are lots of Christians on YT that aren't creationists.
lanastompanato 2 years ago
And? I'm sure there's a point you're about to make... please proceed.
TETSUno1 2 years ago
The point is you are assuming almost all of us are creationists and many of us aren't.
