try setting the last adjustment layers mode to normal instead of screen (screen ads a really really bright glow which causes the saber to look fake)

@merrimanpatrick Good call, I used to do Screen all the time, cause when I first made lightsabers, I used Photoshop just to practice, and on there Screen makes it look as real as it gets on Photoshop, but it's a whole diff story on AE.

You do have the same "problem" as I do tho. When the lazers comes fireing at you they lack the sense of depth, as if they almost are pasted to the screen and just happen to bounce off when aligned with the saber. Anyone know a good trick to move objects like this "into" the scene so they dont appear to be so 2 dimentional and close to the camera. Shadows can obviously help. Not always they can be used tho. (Anyone know what I mean?)

Yeah, I used render and beam. (and doing that makes it look like shit)But know I 3D stroke. (useing 3D stroke is more easy and give it a more real look to it I think.) I saw light the way, it was awsome. You did good acting and sword play. I just played it at normal speed, then saved it, then I put it in slow moe. (Then put that part in the movie and bla bla bla.)
