Multiplayer for this game was EPIC, I wish so bad that it still had enough people playing.

If you do try to play online, you have to replace a .ini file with a new one since Sierra got fid of the master servers year ago. The game had at LEAST 95-120 people at any given time and they just pulled the plug. Super weak.

@Hyperion65 I loved this game too! i really liked the multiplayer, but the campaigns were brilliant, i loved Plague Dog with his random quotes (like "Wanker!" when he died) in the cybrid game. ahhhh, awesome. my best squad-mate was skinbrander, even though he starts off poor in everything, he's wicked when he's ace.

In Starsiege universe this is not the end for humans. Last game with single player campaign is "Tribes Vengeance" (2004) and wiki says about storyline and cybrids: "Last seen in Starsiege. It can be inferred that although the humans hunted down the majority of Cybrid civilization in retaliation for their genocidal acts towards humanity, Cybrids chose to infiltrate human society, rather than completely retreat from the galaxy"

Coolest ending ever. Never before have I ever played a game with so much to offer. If you wanna get really gritty with the plot you can see time lines and 'news articles" in game, if youre not into hardcore plot you can spend hours configuring your herc to your liking. You can play through the campaign as a good guy and go back and play through the campaign as a bad guy and kick humanitys ass. It's like two games in one, though if the developers put more time into it coulda been so much more...

If you pay attention during the close of the human campaign, you'll read on the omni-web that this happens anyway. Even if you win, humans are extinct outside of Nova Alexandria.

Go to google, type in Starsiege Torrent, download it, download a new master.cs script so you can play online. Starsege is from before the days of CD keys.

Great game, more need to play it.

i think most hard core just missed gameplay fairness, extreme diverse setups without an uber rig in the mix..to where mates of 3 or more gamers that knew their config/ each others game style ,habits bad or good, comunication between em,taking advantage of surroundings and placement there was an honest chance to pull it out of the fire even if extremely outmanned and on an average comp. That aspect has always been extremely rare in a genere not a FPS and i have freakin looked and keep lookin.

Unlike, well most of you I guess, I really enjoyed being able to play as the Cybrids. Mostly because most games don't give you the freedom to play as both the "Good guys" and the "Bad guys." Also, watching Emperor Petresun's last moments was its own reward.

When I first completed the Cybrid half of the game, I felt physically sick. I couldn't go near my computer for a week. I felt so absolutely rotten. Especially for killing Harabec. I still get an uncomfortable lurching even now.
