People in American would be better equipped to survive a zombie apocalypse seeing as how we still have the right to bear arms so guns are everywhere. I wouldn't just liberally use them however because one of the primary rules of surviving the ZH is - "stay as quiet as possible".
Started out pretty good for the humans, but it would seem that the battle turned a little less one-sided after a bit. If I was in that survivor group, I'd have ordered my guys to fight in teams and protect each other at any cost. That way, we could cause casualties while not taking many ourselves.
Really want to see this film. I hope it inspires people to make their own films. This shows that you can make top quality stuff without an expensive budget :D
It seems you and me have different ideas about top quality stuff. Don't get me wrong - the movie is based on a great idea, but the craft shown here is not. It looks like the typical first time movie I have seen in the hundreds over the last decade.
Maybe when all is said and done they'll get this film a soundtrack. I wouldn't mind death metal, goth industrial , and punk, but that's just me. It looks excellent for a film with an allegedly nonexisting budget.
Great stuff - win for indie film makers. Love to know how the hell he mamaged to get a film made with DV Tapes to be screened at Cannes - they normally only accept 35mm or Betacam - that costs thousands (circa 10K). £45????
I really liked it - great makeup job and the effect of the zombie getting stabbed in the eye was so damn good!
I think the editing is done really well also.
Congrats on a good job.
I agree with the sentiments that this would really be heightened with some background music (especially in the slingshot/stalking parts at the beginning)- but of course with limited budget that perhaps was more difficult.
That's simply not true. It might have cost the director £45 only, but who do you think did pay for all the other stuff, like make-up, fake blood, food for the crew, travel expenses aso? Right - the crew themselves. The director let others pay the bills. And how many films can you make without getting paid for a living til you are broke?
it's not always about money...if the crew like the film, they'll do it for free :) I wanna know who did the music...LOL! The royalities itself may have cost a lot.

To be fair they made this film with £15 the equivelant of $30 all extras and actors were recruited through facebook and twitter

They should have invested another few bucks in one of those $14 D.I.Y. steadicams. This thing is a recipe for a migraine.

seems like a good story, but I could barely sit through 2 mins of that "blair witch" camera work.
