@mymarine- i am a marine and i have a 10 moth old baby girl.any time that you have to leave your baby is the hardest thing anyone can do. please show some respect. you are making yourself sound extremely ignorant. have a kid then watch your "hardcore Marine" cry like a baby because he can't be there to teach them wrong from right or even just influence them in any way. if you were in my position right now you would freak the f out.

Japan isn't really a deployment, it's a duty station.

It's a deployment if one is in a squadron or battalion that is on Unit Deployment Program (UDP) to Okinawa or Iwakuni.
