Sono diversi comuni, che parlano il Griko. Calimera, Sternatia, Melpignao, Soleto...

( non me li ricordo tutti, saranno 10 forse)

Lecce ne ha quasi 100 comuni, quindi si esclude la tua ipotesi. E cmq nel intero Salento, dalla Provincia di Taranto, Brindisi fino a Santa Maria di Leuca si parlava il Greco. nel periodo (Messapico, Magna Grecia e Bisanzio), nel dialetto Salentino ci sono ancora oggi traccie greche.

con greci- bizantini- messapi intendo le popolazioni che hanno abitato il nostro territorio, non solo occupato. (Romani, Ottomani, Normanni...) le nostre origini sono un miscuglio di queste popolazioni. Anche se la grecìa salentina, ha una storia diversa dal resto del Salento. Ci sono due theorie. La prima è che la lingua e rimasta dopo che colonie della grecia hanno popolato il territorio. La seconda, che sono immigranti del 900.
