How about the frets? My high e string slightly grinds on the fretboard on the upper frets when I bend.So I have to bend with minimal force.Do experience the same? any tips?
@shredtilyurdead The frets on mine are still in good shape. You might want to take yours to a guitar tech to give it the once over and see if it needs a fret dress and service.
I just measured the frets and the height at some frets is just below 1mm.
The frets that show minimum wear are 1mm high so I think everything is in reasonable shape.I guess Im still used to seeing the jumbo frets they install on everything these days.
I just got my custom and theres no techs in my country I would trust with a refret(major bummer)
But thanks for the info and quick replys I really appreciate it and I love your videos and playing so keep at it.
Just wondering, Brother. Is there anyway to tell a Black Beauty from the regular Les Paul Custom? Just purchased a 1990 Les Paul Custom as well, tis awesome \m/

@Leonardkow The original Customs from the 50's had a mahogany top, as apposed to the Goldtops or Standards which have maple tops.
The black Customs were named 'Black Beauties', there isn't much difference between the Black Beauties and the white or wine red LPC's. Gibson may have added a maple top in future years.
holy shit thats the fastest tunning ever isnt it 2:33

so how does the guitar know which pickup to distort, like when you switched from clean to overdrive?
GeorgeyBoy13 2 years ago
On a Les Paul you have 2 volume knobs, one for the bridge pick-up and the other for the neck pick-up.
When the neck p'up is selected the volume knob is set on the 3 marking, giving me a clean sound.
Then I flick the p'up switch to the bridge pick-up, and the volume for that is all the way up to 10.
This means I don't have to depend on using a footswitch to get a clean sound. I can just use the controls on the guitar.

ok thanks, it's just I ordered an Epiphone Black Beauty and it seems like a handy trick, I hate having to rely on pedals.

I bought in Andertons Music Store in Surrey UK, for about £1200 second hand.
I've recently put some Suhr Doug Aldrich H/buckers in it and they sound fantastic, a demo is on the way very soon!!!
