people need to realize that the energy required to build renewable energy infrastructure must come from the existing dominant energy source, ie hydrocarbons.
While I'm watching these I can't help but notice his ball park is much bigger than hers. But at least she is trying to relate and making the interview look casual which is a nice touch.
I think it is going to be faster that he thinks, when the people understands that this new society hast just advantages over the one we are living in.
Like Peter said in a presentation: "the whole social fabric of the planet is sick, our natural resources are dying all over the world, and the Zeitgeist movement is Earth's immune system starting to react and fight back"
wot she needs 2 do is sale her apples then after time wen shes earnt enough profit then start giving them away for free in such a way that it takes away that it undermines the market...... if every1 done this then the big boys would fail & we wld win haha :)
@Gonko100 Yeah, I think "Addendum" is better in terms of educating people. It starts of with the monetary system which is very interesting and people aren't really aware of it which makes them want to watch it. "Moving Forward" starts of a little slow but it certainly addresses very important points.
His is right in most things but technology cannot solve everything especially if we do not have the abundant resources. For instance drilling down to pump out water in the Sahara is a very bad idea look at Saudis. It took thousands of years or more for water to infiltrate down to the water table. Since there is no rain it is non sustainable so once water is gone you are screwed. Otherwise he is awesome!
@attilamaradi I see what you're saying, but in terms of the abundance of resources, there is enough to feed, cloth, house and provide water for every human being on this planet. This can be achieved through technology which focuses on sustainability, if it was the case that extracting water like that was unsustainable then other methods would be looked at. Desalinisation for instance! It is so advanced now everyone's thirst could be quenched from processed sea water!
Its finally nice to sit back and see that we understand that all people can be loving and compassionate a world without greed and hate and competition we would see progress happen on a high rate that we will not even understand why we ever wanted a monetary system

I think this guy is great because he can take his ideas and present them eloquently and coherently, so that most people will get what he is talking about straight away. Many people are not satisfied with how the world works but are scared to speak publicly about it as they think they will sound like lunatics or conspiracy theorists. I've been having ideas and thoughts similar to his for years, but every time I would try to express myself verbally, I would find it too hard to make sense out of it
2012 is fear mongering. It's insignificant because time is an illusion created by the eye of the beholder. Reality if a reflection of yourself. So the only reality is consciousness.
Hes a genious!..yea I agre with the 2012 thing the only thing thats gona happen is buisneses, and certain individuals will only "Profit" from fear and the thought of impending doom!..It's all about making a buck. For instance..look at .."Y2K"..1999 changing to 2000. People stockpiled their basements with enormous amounts off food and suplies, and who was the fool then? Not a dam thing happened ....amazing how people use "Fear" to manipulate society.
well, its just common sense really that is shrouded by worldwide bubbles of mysticism that is maintained by brainwashing as people have the desire to live dishonestly.
@inca7777777 Although I am grateful Peter presented these ideas, he accumulated all his references and critical points over time through sheer data. You and I are just as capable.
@DoS37 yes, he is a genius... and he admits that all 'geniuses" gain their knowledge from other people's work, just taking it to the next best level, and portraying it to others in a concise and profound manner ... ;D
He doesn't. He is one of us who believes in the future rather than dwells on the so-called "end of the world" tales that guide you down a channeled path - just where "they" want you to go. Obey! Do what we say! We know what you need and can take care of you! The only thing that will change is the world as you know it when the revolution starts. Hopefully you are not one of the elite, because your days are numbered and you are doomed based on your treatment of others and your greed.
If they gave the milk away that they couldn't sell, what would their few remaining paying customers do the next day? It's not the farmer that's pouring out the milk. It's a direct consequence of the geometry of the economy and nothing else. That is simply the way it generates the most profit.
If the farmer receives, in return, enough sustenance to maintain his families dietary, medical and educational needs, he simply needs to produce less milk the following day allowing more freedom to the farmer to do the things he pleases. Profit, in an ideal world, is irrelevant, as money is, I'm sure you're aware, just a series of digits entered into and passed around the servers of the banking giants. It's no more real than the fairies at the bottom of your garden.
Peter mentions that tapping into the water table is doable in the Sahara. He then states that going down a mile to the water table might seem dramatic.
It's amazing to me that will go as far as it takes to get oil, but not water for starving people. Sickening.
