@jjcollio Yes this song is based on the short story The Tell Tale Heart. A Man kills an old dude with a fucked up eye and buries the body under the floor boards of his house. When some detectives come around the guilt is getting to him and he thinks he can hear the heart beat from under the floor causing him to break down and confess before the investigators leave.

If I remember correctly, the Old Man's butler(or maybe his son or guest, it's never made clear) was never selling cookies, either. It's like a modern, very-loose adaptation of the original story. The only theme that stays is: Eye makes people go insane, so they plot to get rid of it.
