  • The "First" picture of Barbara holding Her Guitar has been "flipped". She's

holding it "righ handed"........God, What a Talent This Woman is.

    This is a Sad Song.

  • one of her best...love this song.....

  • It was one of my mother's favorite song when I was growing up . It is such a sad moving song of a love that got away.

  • My late mother loved this song when it was new. Years later, I had a daughter named Laura, and mentioned this song to Mom, and she didn't even remember it!

  • My parents had this 45, but it was broken, so I could only hear the last minute or so. I loved it but always wanted to hear the whole song. So glad to find this here - a little piece of my childhood is now complete.

  • One of the saddest songs I ever heard. This might be the song that made me fond of sad, heart breaking music at ten years old.

  • Great song. Thanks for the post.

  • seems like yesterday- she performed this on the first one hour American Bandstand show in Sept. 1963 Great soul memory!

  • Great song from a classy lady. Beautiful orchestration behind a beautiful voice. One of the best, right up there with Nancy Wilson & Gloria Lynne.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have not heard this song in more years than I care to remember. Barbara Lynn comes from East Texas where I grew up and this has always been one of my favorite songs.
