Histrionics aside, I do think she owns Agitata Da Due Venti. Highly infectious!
i can't help but like cecilia bartoli actually .. ok, sometimes the sounds aren't too "beautiful" but she's the one i want to listen to - she always gives you that experience of the song, that she's properly "storming it", she acts, she has so much verve and charisma. I know it's not the most bel canto or pedantic thing to say (highly unlike me!) but i do think there's more to singing than just a perfect technique and whatever the "more" is, Bartoli has it :)
Comparándola con Vivica Genaux me pareció más segura en los tramos rápidos. Me gustan las dos y disfruto escuchándolas y expresando conn su cuerpo cada obra o aria.

Posso anche convenire sul fatto che l'emissione di CB non sia il non plus ultra, ma vorrei sapere chi è in grado di fare queste agilità, oggi, a parte lei e poche altre (in Italia, ovvio, visto che parlavi di "canto italiano").
I'm sure Ms. Bartoli would agree that this was not her finest performance. Her vocal dexterity and articulation were stunning as always, but she also sounded breathless and rushed, as well as a little tight. No big deal, everyone has an off day.

It was beautiful, as well as her mini orchestra, She for surly fit the roll of being agitated, she made her voice fit the roll, she was acting with her singing as well as motion. That's why she is a great artist. If you play and instrument for the great Bartoli, i think you know better than to rush.

@evolve749 True she seemed 'agitata', but I have just listened to two other versions of this (noting that someone made a similar point about the recording on a video clip of Veronica Cangemi, saying that a studio version would be engineered to minimise things such as intakes of breath) including another Bartoli performance, and although this has rough edges I love the way she has thrown herself into it. It comes out as my favourite so far.
@evolve749 I have just watched the French TV clip you saw - great, couldn't take my eyes off her mouth! My judgment is based on little musical knowledge and I can only go by what my ears tell me, which is in that performance she had an issue with the dynamics of the lower notes. They tended to get a little lost. Maybe that has to do with the fact that the chamber ensemble is a little larger than the one in this clip by Bartoli, maybe it's a factor of the recording, or maybe it's my ears.
existen querido amigo......partituras...con las notas a tener que impostar......y de ahi se puede sacar perfectamente el sueño del siglo xvIII.....aparte de literatura escrita.....poetica y en prosa.......capaz de dar notas clara de lo pretendido.....por los dieciochescos......y eso es referencia suficiente para intentar hacer algo....y entre otras......si existen vinilos.......de la capacidad de lso castrados......y son alucinantes........hay 30 en el mundo en manos de coleccionistas.asi anotas
