It still is, it helps a lot with Consecration which is our main form of constant dps being prot spec'd. And back in BC it wasn't awesome for a Paladin tank, it was a necessity, as we wouldn't be a tank without it.

I dont know what I am doing wrong on my paladin but hes lv.70 Im over the defense cap. I got around 230 spelldamage, 13k hp self buffed.

m8 230+ spell dmg aint that high and 13k self buffed is not high neither sry to say... try get 400+ spell dmg unbuffed and 15k UNBUFFED then you got a nice tankadin and on defence cap and remember you need 102,4 avoidance still..

yes but the petrified lichen gaurd is better at level 70 because the SFS only procs when you are hit.. and if your anything but good at 70 you shouldnt be taking THAT many hits. while the petrified lichen gaurd applies a stacking poison each time you block.. and pulling that many at once you are blocking alot lol. but i do agree with you that the SFS is 1 sexy looking shield

yeah, i suggest to bring a AoE partner + a healer that are willing to help you out.

But I suggest do finish up your current outland quests and hit lvl 70 and gear up quick !

anyone know if it's possible to buy more than one petrified lichen guard? it would come in really handy when you're out farming. instead of having to repair your shield so often you could just keep 2 or 3 in your bags.

Yes you can buy more than 1. I keep two shields on me all the time. By the time 1 shield broke. it's pretty much that that bags are full :S

I am 15917 hp unbuffed on my raid tanking gear. And 14400+ hp on just farming gear (just replaced shield, and 2 trinks)

Me lvl 70lock . and my friend lvl 70 hunter. was soloing this and we got 600g from 1 run- both 300g... 10 BoE Dungeon set 1 parts. sold 20g each all... most of uncommon items i DE'ed dropped Eternal essences. we got like 25 of those. sold later 15g each. Alot runecloth... and 2 epics... Skullflame shield which im using atm on my paladin.., and crappy neck. this is really a great way to make gold. this is the reason hy you should start playing with paladin too :P

By the way, wouldn't being uncrushable/having over 100% avoidance mean you'd take no damage at all from these guys? How much do they hit for; 200-400, each? You'd completely block all their damage, wouldn't you?

Having over 100% avoidance is only accomplished by having Holy Shield up, and it has limited blocking charges. Some mobs in strat have poison effects and magic effects that can't be blocked. Most of the time resisted, but not always. Also, some mobs, when they die, create another mob which explodes and dies(this can't be resisted). Your HP will go down, no questions asked. I made an informational vid on Strat Solo-runs as well, check it out! =D

i have tryd that, filled all my bags up and sold it all to vendor and got 40g for it...

well ur vendor trash should equal 40g then in silver u get about 30-40g then from boe blues u could get 0-2 blues a run which may equal 0-60g a run from boe blues.. 150-200 runecloth.. u make runecloth belts which u then DE and u sell all the DE items and get about 100g.. potions 10-15g and thats about it.. but the main thign u need to do is make runecloth belts and DE them.

Don't play it myself, but I love WoW cuz it acts as a sponge, soaking up those people/players that don't like a challenge. The types that take advantage of any exploit a game might offer. The types who use cheats and walkthroughs. The types that go for what's popularly viewed as the most powerful class, then guild hop til they reach max level and acquire the best gear in an MMO so they can go kill low level players. So thanks to WoW, you see less of them in better, more challenging MMO's. :)

ATM I am holy as well and have thought about trying this with a holy build. In your opinion is it possible? I am going to see how it works just wanted to find out if you have tried with a Holy build.

It's possible if you invest a few points on redoubt. I can imagine a run can go well with a holydin on tanking gear. Albeit it's gonna a bit a bit slower and tougher. And pulls should be scaled back so your not going to die in the process.

reckoning and ardent defender + holy shield does make ALOT of difference.

If you can kill all the mobs in karabor at SMV without a problem as holy spec. Then you're ready for strat.

To Omnihobo, My gear is made up with some kara, blues and craftables. Anyways, I hit 513 def uncrushable with the trinkets and still uncrushable without them. You can do well, just be sure to have the figurine of the colossus handy.

Ya not bad man, but if you want to make a ton more money then get a healer and a mage. With 2 friends, we have been able to pull every group from backdoor up to the first boss (like 10 groups).
