Met Philomena (phil's mother) on Saturday for the third time or so, of course the man was irish!, There's gig's to remember him several times a year here. I don't think he's had even half the impact in Britain as he's had here. Having said that he did live and record there a lot, so i guess you could say that he was an Irishman first, but certainly had a connection to england as well.

I've seen a few tribute bands myself, and met john sykes and scott gorham after seeing them live in Dublin back in 06 or therbouts. :)

He looked embarassed at talking about it, but almost shameful saying "I've been notorious for being busted, but I wouldn't advise other people to do it." I think that last question and Phil's answer summed up what he thought of drugs. He looked embarassed at talking about it, but almost shameful saying "I've been notorious for being busted, but I wouldn't advise other people to do it." It's like he knew he couln't stop himself but didn't want others to go down the same road.

gaz tops job is to help the artist relate with the target audience. i assume this was aimed at a youth level. gaz was far more articulate than the average teenager at the time. perhaps he's a little star struck here though. spooky how he talks about the rock stars dying young. shame phil didn't take it as an omen...
