  • Love ME1 soundtrack, so emotional, so intense, so memorable.

  • Wrex: Shepard.

    Shepard: Wrex.

    *Cue music*

  • The sad thing is, to most people, the proper dialogue for Kaidan's death would be, "I'm sorry Kaidan, but you don't have a vagina."

  • @PicklesTheGreatTroll Unless you play female.

  • Bioware, y u no let us save BOTH Kaiden and Ashley?

  • @epikphaylle i keep asking myself that every time i hear this music, you dont realy appriciate whos with u untill their gone

  • Best episode of the trilogy,ME1 was and still the best!!!

  • Ashley and Kaidan dislikes this.

  • I chose to keep Ashley because, let's face it, at least she is given SOME characterization to be killed by the Bioware face and a few issues with the voice actor (who did much better in ME2), whereas Kaiden... fuck him, I want to fuck Ashley.

  • Hated Kaiden. Died every single time. Generic good guy, same as Carth from KotoR. I wish they played happy music after he died. However, this is good enough to counteract that.

  • @Sommyommy The funny thing is Carth and Kaiden both have the same voice actor. The guy has amazing talent for boring characters.

  • @ROUGEBLOCK lol

  • Clint Mansell may have a bunch of great film scores under his belt, but when it comes to Mass Effect, he has some awful big shoes to fill. Here's hoping he can match Jack Wall, Sam Hulick and the rest in ME3.

  • @ginnoveffect From what I heard during the soundtrack leak of ME3, the Escape from Earth theme, he won't disappoint

  • @ginnoveffect Listen to this song /watch?v=Lg1ElmVQ2pw

I think we're in good hands.

  • I find it a bit cynical that BioWare made this music play both during the sex scene of Mass Effect, and on board the Normandy after the Virmire mission, where you just left a close friend to die in a nuclear explosion

  • if they wanted a tough decision they should have made you choose between Garrus and Tali. Or Wrex and Liara. Or Saren. Anybody but these two, really. Kaiden is Mr. Generic and Ashley is utterly unlikable.

  • @HCTFuzz722

In my first playthrough. Ashley killed Wrex in that scene on Virmire when I didn't want her to. So just for that, I left her behind to die. I hated that bitch. In my 2nd playthrough. I managed to keep him alive.

  • @HCTFuzz722 Wrex or Liara? Easy, Liara dies every time. Wrex was an awesome Krogan badass. Garrus or Tali is a harder one, hm... I'd pick Tali. I agree that Kaiden and Ashley were generic and unlikable though. A very bland choice. I kept Kaiden just because he's a man and I'm a woman... lol.

  • this music makes me fell lonely i dont now why

  • @190shepard i feel ur pain dude

  • The burdens and responsibilities of leadership are too often overlooked by its prestige and position. Decisions and commands come from you, but the pressures of being counted on to make the right decision change a person. The loss of a crewmate was not on Saren's hands, it was yours; it was your duty to carry out the mission and get everyone back alive and safe. Because of your actions, you let a member of your crew die.

No leader should ever be burdened with that kind of blood, but they are.

  • Listening to this isn't a good idea when you're feeling emotionally drained

  • JOKERISWAITINGFORYOUONTHEBRIDGE....I swear though....

That's literally the only thing that comes to mind when I hear this song. That line totally wrecked Kaidan for me.

  • I should have sex to this song.

  • I listened this song with in-ear headpgones and god it feels heavy.... i mean... the low beat actually feels like your own heartbeats...

  • @cybermiguelo Thats what makes it feel so . . . intimate. Is that the right word? This music gets inside you . . .

  • Every time I make the choice, it's hard on me. After the mission, I go to the spot where that crew member used to stand on the ship and just listen to the music. Game or no, I felt like they were under my command and I feel like I let them down when one of them dies. As Shepard said "I don't like people dying under my command..."

  • @alexandercns i still miss kaidan :( he was my bro.... :( oh damn you bioware and your tough choices!

  • @ElAleru tough? I just left ash without hesitation. I found her annoying...:)

  • I had to play this song because it just felt so out of place without it when my game glitched and started playing the regular Normandy music after Virmire.

  • Isn't this what played after virmire? And is it in the love scene also? I don't remember

  • i listened to this and i remembered kaiden alenko...

  • Obviously Saren disliked this

  • @legopooper24 We all know it's not his fault.

  • @legopooper24 and fist

  • Stop putting the hate on Clint Mansell! He's extremely talented, and he knows what he's doing.

Unless he screws up the ME3 soundtrack by removing all the electronica. Then I allow you to hate all you want ;)

  • @OverchargedTeslaCoil all we want and then some

  • this is the same song what you could hear in silent hill homecoming under the menu

  • damn you clit man sell

  • after hearing this theme on the normandy post virmire i made a vow, i would fins Saren and shove my pistol so far up his ass that he would be vomiting bullets

  • I play this once a day on the piano to satisfy my nostalgia of ME1 :)

  • Fuck! poor alenko.

  • Jack Wall will be missed in me3 :(

  • @JammyGit07, is he not doing the music??!!

  • @JonoMac69 No, Clint Mansell will be doing the soundtrack for ME3.

  • This song is cursed.

  • I cried hearing this song playing.

"I'm sorry, Kaidan. I had to make a choice."

Heartbreaking, even if it was my third playthrough; I became so emotionally attached to the amazing characters and came to sympathize with them.

  • I actually got to meet Jack Wall in person at a concert called Video Games Live. He is an awsome guy and the piece they did on Mass Effect was incredible. It's pretty easy to find on YouTube.

  • Reminds me of Tomb Raider II Lara's theme somehow... somewhat

  • It has a little Dorian in it, which gives it that ambiance of freedom. I love it!

  • ME and ME are just too awesome!

  • theres a different song for love w/ kaidan does any1 kno how 2 find it somwhere on utube?

  • I find this to have such a strange undertone...there's something going on there I haven't put my finger on yet but it's....somehow romantic -and- eerie at the same time. Almost feels to me as though the love were being watched, by some awarness that can't understand it.

  • @HotaruZoku Wow! Dude I totally agree with you!

  • @MrSweatyDrummer Nice to share a perception with another.

  • @HotaruZoku

You mean when we do it we're being perved on by some unknown entity?

  • @kenjimaster666 I was being metaphorical at the time, but perhaps not. Perhaps there is some sort of "other" awareness. Listen for yourself. That doesn't strike me as totally human-sounding.

  • @HotaruZoku

Hey I know, I was just messin', didn't mean for that to sound hostile in any way. I totally know what you mean, this theme has an odd, eerie feel to it. Yet still somehow romantic. =]

  • Well this isn't JUST the love theme, in fact it's used before the sex scene when one of your squad mates die. (Or two if you killed Wrex)

  • Can someone upload this extended.

  • @KingLazerman This is the extended version.

  • @Glicerart OMG thats short. Just loop it twice then.

  • Jack Wall deserves so much for such an emotionally driven soundtrack... Thank you Jack.

  • i like the new version called reflections

  • @VirusMan254 very much agreed

  • this song is used after virmire and it does make you feel sorry for what ever choice you made. Music is what makes this game so emotional, it really works well with the theme of the period in game play.

  • @wowunoob7 yeh. I got the premium with second disc so i can listen to it.

  • @wowunoob7 I wanted to get rid of Kaiden all the way up to the point where I made the decision, then I regretted it. :(

  • @wowunoob7 Nope. Never feel bad for nuking Kaidan every time !

  • almost sounds like something from silent hill. I like it alot

  • @Dmasterman

    No, you can't.

If you don't stay loyal to your intrest from mass effect in mass effect 2, you wont have them in mass effect 3.

Also, if you decide to cheat on your intrest in mass effect 2, everyone youve been flirting with will all come at you, forcing you to chose one of them.

  • the piano part always drives me away

  • this is great....mass effect is by far the most emotional impacting game and i cant wait for mass effect 2

  • this music is really an emotional staple in a video game.

after the battle at virmire, this music kicks in and depending on your losses.. it's quite impactful. awesome game, no doubt.

  • This song is one of my favorites from the game. I liked the games music it went with the game well.

  • my fav mass effect song, followed by the main theme song and Saren

  • beautiful music

  • awesome song...like all the ones from mass effect and further more from bioware....
