I want to buy an air pistol whith enough power to kill rabbits and squirrels in 20 25 meters and i dont want it to be too expensive that is the only reason i m not buying the 2240 becouse it is co2 and that costs alot and only 40 shots .I m looking to buy something good but if possible not co2 crosman 1377 is good but it is 177 and u have to pump it 10 times so i need fast loading .I dont know if 2240 is as good as people say i might buy it.What do you think i should do?

If you ever decide to make a DVD compilation of your fishing and hunting trips... I will buy it. Then I can put my copy of "Dead River Rough Cut" into semi-retirement. (Don't get me wrong... you are much more refined than DRRC. Any Maine fish/game video is a real winner.
We got ourselves a new Beale..Gracie.. She'll be ready this year. Got a Crappie fishing video almost ready, and we knew Amy Lecour a trapper in Dead River Rough Cut..got some video of him too before he died at 90..Thank You

Oaky Doaky was 10 years old on that hunt. He had a heart as big as all of Maine. Sad to say he had to be put down last year. His age caught up with him. But he loved to hunt up till the last minute. Just three old farts havin fun!

A 22 is the best for rabbit hunting if your a good shot you can hit one in the head and it meakes it alot easier.However if your not as good of a shot a shot gun works good 2

guage refers to the diameter of the barrel. it means how many balls of lead the same diameter of the barrel would make one pound of lead. most common guages are 28, 20, 16, 12, 10, and 8. lower number=larger barrel. theres also a .410 shotgun, which i think is equal to a 67 guage. rifles don't use guage, but decimals of and inch. (.22, .223, .44, etc) hope this helps

You cannot teach a beagle/hound to chase. Its already bred into them. Sort of like how goldens retrieve and setters point and collies herd. Instinct. What you can teach is to take direction from you. Obedience. Come when you call. Takes spending time afield with your dog. You have to work well together to be successful.

I hit a rabbit middle of it's back with my Hw97K and threw my JRT at it, she'd already had picked up the scent of rabbit before and chased but didn't know what to do when she caught one.
she hit the wounded one like a brick and wiped it out, i played with her a bit with the dead rabbit and then fed her a bit from the thigh.
ok 10 guage. I think 6 guage is that ancient pistol looking thing at the local gun supply on the antique wall. probably there is no need for anything bigger than 12 because of the new heavyshot loads and specialty slugs. Anything with a bigger barrel probably spreads way too much to be of hunting use, probably a real room broom.
liked the video, but what you dont know is that all rabbit hounds trace their roots thru france. france is probably the only place on earth where the average family eats rabbit once a week. say that for america. im french american who runs beagles 3-6 times a week. i run hare and cottontail. i know you were joking but all proper hounds that are run today in america are foundation french and english inventions. thats a fact despite what george w might have the hunter think.

Well, is it a rabbit or a hare?
If you are chasing it above ground and it doesn't go downa hole then it seems like a hare to me...so why call it a rabbit?

There aren't too many any more but there are 10 gauge shotguns and I have heard of 6 gauge. Not too sure if 6 gauge is still around.
