  • it is overdue to raise a nose of an airplane -- a seed -- is this Fokker 50?

  • ...it's fuggin' windy! There's a strong cross-wind. Those planes have really decent lift capabilities...and a wind-gust merely hit the planes', 'sweet-spot' ...nice recovery and control.

  • makes me feel better about my landings in Flight Simulator.

  • rough terrible landing

  • When it comes to FOKKERS, the krauts are the biggest. hahahahahaha

  • @madisonelectronic Fokker is Dutch, krauts are Germans

  • @wesseldewerk Fokker you. hahahahaha

  • Bad landing

  • flared way too late.

  • @plsniper flared ? lol. he just drove it nose first and tried pulling it at the last second. i guarantee he wasnt even at idle power which you're always supposed to be when landing. you're supposed power and throttle to land a plane. that was just flying the plane directly at the ground till the last second. whoever was piloting that plane i have no idea how they got there license because that is not how you are supposed to be trained to land at all. that looked like a first time student pilot

  • @ShowerCurtain31 You can hear in the mike the strength of the wind. This was a turbo prop which is a regional airline. Low time captains and Very Low Time co-pilots. Probably the co-pilot was landing and froze at the controls for a second. As for the power settings, didn't sound like he decreased the power. But in heavy gusty winds, you need some extra poweer on final. I've landed in winds where my stall warning was on and two seconds later I was 30 kts over the stall speed. Back and forth.

  • ladies and gentlemen we have landed at london airport ..no wait....... yes, we have landed. hope you enjoyed the flight. !!

  • VLM is from Belgium right?

  • @TheChillFlight VLM stands for "Vlaamse Luchttransport Maatschappij" and is based in Antwerp. It is now part of the KLM-Air France group and flys under the name Cityjet.

  • @myScooterchannel Correct, and i'm gonna be in that plane (which is now white painted) and land in this airport in 2 months. I hope i'll have a better landing :p

  • @myScooterchannel sounds dutch.looks like drugs.

  • nothing dangerous here.

  • Ladies and Gentleman, we will landing at London City Airport.... a few seconds later.... Ladies and Gentleman, we will landing at London City Airport...

  • That's the biggest bounce I've seen in 30 years in aviation!! I hope the engineers gave that a/c a thorough inspection!!

  • That was a genuine McQuack landing!

  • @mectechman1 Yeh Bast*** thats bad landing, you moderF*****

  • @sudhakarg2012 u mf

belguim has one of the best pilots in the world

and belguim is the safest country to fly with

sabena tegniks is the last peace of quality that left of sabena

bdw: r.i.p sabena that swis air fuckers : we gona geth them !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cedar1998 You moderfukr, u bast*rd, you son of b*tch. Why cant you see landing terrible. All that all belgium pilot fuked ur mother. u son of b*tch. i think ur moders p*ssy has been fu***d, lick*d by all pilots. Go to hell, you cant accept reality.

  • Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing? so sick of seeing this statement. It's as though you support poor flying skills.

  • @tmacization I agree but you can't judge this pilots flying skills on just one landing, he could be a very god pilot for all we know.

  • @navymmw "very god pilot" LOL, a Freudian slip! That's what most pilots think, they're God!

  • @navymmw i appreciate your reply mate, was so expecting you to be just another person that wants to start a flame war. And you're right, he really could be a great pilot having a bad day.

  • Any landing you can walk away for is a good landing; any landing where they can use the aircraft again is an excellent landing!

  • 0:25 damnit

    0:31 DAMNIT

    0:34 COME THE FRICK ON

    0:38 THANK GOD

  • Way too high. London City from that direction is a bitch though, Canary Wharf is just over the river. The approach is particularly steep for safety. The runway is short too.

  • tailwind?

  • he's got his brevet by a package of Butter !!

  • And that's a pro with ATPL!! shame shame. Completely wrong executed landing. Too late with the flare. Luckely his correction was less wrong so to say. Must be a student pilot of second officer making his first landing on the F50. In that case appologies accepted...

  • Haaaaaaaa Ha Ha Ha Haaaaaaaa

    That was soooooo funny!

    Tee Hee

    Hee Hee Hee

  • any landing you can walk away from is a good landing these passengers will be bouncing away :)

  • Im thinking he should have gone around. Flare again after the bounce... This guy would be better off walking a tightrope. Anytime you hit that hard and elevate like that = full power and try again..... I understand a casual greesed landing with the nose up for a bit more than textbook but a headwind like this, looked like a surfer coming down a 30 footer.

  • That is called HAPPY HOUR! Two landings for the price of one!

  • too fast and high. shoulda GA.

  • @JKaru92 Kinda hard to NOT come in "fast and high" at City depending on wind direction. His approach comes pretty much straight over Canary Wharf Tower, HSBC tower and other big tower blocks in the "Canary Wharf" area of London. Look on Google earth and check the runway location, then look due West, as he's approaching from the west.

  • @stuthejock sorry sir, unfamiliar with airport / area :P

  • Thank you for choosing Hiccup Airlines!

  • 速度と角度がダメだったんだな。

    もうちょっと高度を低くしてゆっくりと着地すれば問題ない。

  • "........SHIT, FORGOT TO FLARE!"

  • @Shawkins49 he got upset when the cocpit yelled retard at him

  • @rcacad hahah, that can get really upsetting. And if you are pissed off you can take it personally. Many a pilot has gotten in a fisty cuff with the console.

  • CG?

  • its a strong headwind thats it... and its a good landing !

  • lady's and gentlemen please stay seated while captain kangaroo bounces us to the gate

  • not that funny

  • That's a fairchild for you.

  • @estupido7490

nope, pretty shure it's a dutch build fokker, fairchild copied it

  • @splat003 LOL! Fairchild built a licensed version of it. China copies things! But yeah, the Fairchild is pretty much the same bird with minor differences.

  • @splat003 That's indeed a fokker 50 of VLM, VLM is owned by the dutch company Panta Holdings.

They fly with 18 fokkers and 1 BAe-146. They fly very often to London city airport but i see them also often in Deurne airport in my country (Belgium).

If they approach Deurne they need to fly over my house.

  • Ladies and gentlemen. Where have arrived at our destination. And again. and Again.

Thanks for flying 3 times with us in one hour!

  • thumb up if 3doors down -landing in london brought you here!!

  • ladys and gentel men we have well and truely landed at london city airport!

  • I dont get why this should by funny...

  • "That's NOT what I meant by when I said three takeoffs and three landings, so No, I'm NOT going to sign off your solo!"

  • Wonerful thing bout VLM , that we are the only one. BOUNCY BOUNCY BOUNCY BOUNCY. FUN FUN FUN FUN....

  • classic vlm.

  • Crazy!

  • i think so Pilot need some Flying simulator....

  • Poor guy, 1 botched landing and it's all over the internet!

  • When the plane bounces 20 feet back up in the air, I would consider a go-around...

  • LOL!

  • its called ballooning, caused by delayed flare

  • Ops... sorry for that captain...

  • Good lord!

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, its happy hour.

You just received two landings for the price of one!

    :)

  • vlm is vlaamse luchtvaart maatschapij its of my city :)

  • Yea I think he flew during WW2 - you know tail draggers...only P-39 among a few I know of had tricycle landing gear - hmmm :P

  • So I think that 危ない着陸, in the beginning of the titel, means "holy clap" and probably the words from the only Chinese on board ;-)

  • At least, He made it smooth on the second landing

  • vlm 123, London tower, speed and altitude permitting make a right turn off and contact ground control.........

  • Bumps a daisy, it's enough to make you weep.

  • Well... who hasn't bounced a plane once or twice while landing? lol!

  • Ladies & Gentlemen.. Thank you for flying VLM and good luck with the therapy..!!

  • Once upon a time two landing gears... ;-)

  • Fokker F50

  • So does he have to pay two landing fees?

  • @froobin903 actually 3 i think

  • @froobin903 And 2 arrival times.

  • Yay, two landings for the price of one!

  • Two touch and gos, one full stop landing. Just logging landings :-)

  • A go-around would have been a better idea than landing halfway down the runway. It was seven and a half degree approach and a few hundred metres shorter when i used to fly there!

  • hahaha you have to pay extra for a smooth landing xD

  • Pilot sleeping...

    CoPilot: HEY!! WAKE UP!!!!

    Pilot: OH SH*T!!! PULL UP!!

    bounce! xD

  • i have seen >>>and done better!!! after two buds ;-?

  • noob pilots :P

  • Because of the above than normal speed for landing, he/she pushed the stick forward and then back to make it land. The excessive air speed and momentum, compounded by ground effect sent the aircraft back in the air. A major part of flying is managing kinetic energy efficiently, specially on the landing phase. The second time was a flare, thus the landing. I used that technique once at night on an airport with no runway lights. I came down slow, touched and bounced, and then flare and landed.

  • @MyTube22T wow!!!

  • that video was pi55

  • just coming a little too fast. No worries.

  • @MyTube22T You sure he was only too fast? Looked like he did his flare way too late also. 10 or so feet above the runway is way too late

  • The pilot get paid for every bounce they made!

  • I wonder how many landing-fees he'll be charged :-)

  • Now I know why it's called a 'Cityhopper'.

  • ```@newtongrace Now I know why it's called a 'Cityhopper'. ```

Yes, we all knew worldwide that London city airport is hopping airport.

Now , enjoy hopping when you use this airport, provided you were alive.

    Thank you. from Naka

  • VLM.... says it all ;-)

  • i've been in a C130 and the pilots came in to fast and we bounced down the runway a few times. my friend was actualy lucky enough to be in the cockpit when this was happening so he could hear the pilots yelling at eachother "WE'RE TO FAST!"

  • That needs to be logged in a two landings! This pilot is getting more landings than most. Each bounce counts!

  • bounce......bounce.......bounce......

  • Take that earth!

  • When is the funny part going to start?

  • Funny if it ended up in the drink and pilot staggered out of plane after

  • VLM.... Belgium people lol

  • FUNNEEEEE

  • "I can't land with that guy FILMING ME."

  • chuck norris is the pilot here! ;)

  • what descent is that? 2400ft/min for a plane that small?

nose down approach till 5 ft alt???

if that goes into his record, he's busted.

  • @ShutTFup What in the heck are you talking about lol?

  • @ShutTFup It's a 5 degree descent into LCY. A lot steeper than the usual 3 degrees.

  • London City Traffic, VLM 23 Alpha on final for touch-n-go and full stop.....London City.

  • SINK RATE SINK RATE !!!!

  • He flared too late

  • @bazeire808 I Agree mate... that's why the plane touch down like a missile...

  • Boeing Boeing Boeing

  • reminds me of some of my landings at rochester!!!!

  • ballon

  • is VLM a connection airline for KLM?

  • @wizzair1313 No, VLM is the Vlaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij (Flemisch Aviation Company) and KLM is of the Dutchman.

    But they both speak Dutch!

  • Im guessing the pilot thinks that the plane is a balloon not a plane

  • missed judged the headwind + overflare + professional pilot = go around dickface

  • Too much power..too much airspeed..

  • must be one of the arrogant captains who refuses to go around :D nice vid lol

  • are you at the reggatta centre/ yi-ban resturant cos i recognise that view.

  • London City has a pretty short ass runway so you need to touch down in the first few feet.

  • @Chuckjagermeister theres a couple of airports :S

  • @DeClAnT46 There's three actually. London City, Heathrow and Gatwick.

  • @Chuckjagermeister There's five actually. City, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted.

  • the F50 flies soo well that the pilots really have to force it down as you can se here, I also noticed that when i was planespotting at arlanda,

  • I suppose this airplaine is a "Boeing"...

  • @Adiaf8oros 'nope a Fokker 50

  • @pikemaster92 I meant Boeing, the sound of something hitting the ground and bouncing??...!! Irony?! Uh, never mind...

  • @Adiaf8oros hahahaha

  • He was struggling with a combination of crosswinds and the infamous steep approach that's required at LCY. He was probably hit by a sudden gust just in the wrong moment.

  • ```@newtongrace Now I know why it's called a 'Cityhopper'. ```

  • これわざとかたりんつけてないね

  • boing boing boing

  • dude, this wasnt funny.

  • asshole

  • what funny?

  • long way from home

  • omg at city you don't have much runway to play with

  • why have you written "funny" ?

  • @botox93

Because to guy's who don;t work and sit at an airport all day on a folding chair eating chocolate, watching airplanes.... this is funny...

    Weird huh?

  • @scottishy looooooooooooool

  • nive third landing ? o.O !

  • Don't know if it's the same, but I've had this happen. Just as you touch down you get a gust of wind up your nose and you're flying again. He was coming in pretty steep, but from the comments that's indicative of the airport...

  • I wonder if the runway being raised off the lake made the ground effect less effective making him kinda smack into the runway vs useing ground effect and greasing it on...

  • @pbcrazy9898 lake? that sir is the river thames :)

  • The approach to EGLC requires a steep descent which is probably the reason for the bounce. Just a little bit too fast.

  • Rubbish landing! Too fast, no flare. Lost his concentration it seems to me.

  • ive worked with these pilots and they are crazy , ive seen them do some pretty scary shit lol , he was probably still banging the stewardess on touchdown lol

  • I've been flying in and out of LCY for quite some time now and every now and then you get a crappy landing like that... doesn't seem to be that easy to land there, I suppose,

  • Tower: "VLM 23 Alpha, welcome to London City. Time on the ground 14.05 . . . and 14.06!"

  • @mythicalireland :P

Our ETA to London is 2 hours 20 minutes and also 2 hours 20 minutes and 30 seconds. Enjoy your flight and your second, much briefer flight.

  • @mythicalireland Lol, that'll be twice the landing fee please.

  • In all my years I have never seen a commercial plane bounce that high after initial contact. I'm guessin' the pilot had a 'chat' with his bosses after this one.

  • :-)

  • too fast.. retarded pilot really..

  • i think he was going too fast

  • Comment removed

  • lol...that pilot is high!!

  • Thats one heck of a bounce, good recovery but he came in way to fast. I would have shallowed my pride and gone around..

  • No..... he's keeping the speed to fight the crosswind but the excess speed causes the plane back up in the air until speed dies down. No need to go around unless this took up too much runway. It takes less than a third of the runway to touch down and come to stop.
