@Meatcutter64 It's called slow motion idiot. STFU Honda is the best car you can buy on the road for the price so keep your ignorant shit to yourself nobody wants to hear it and cismok there is nothing different between US/Jap versions except the fact that you drive on opposite sides. I mean tell me would you rather be in the Civic with no problems? or would you rather be dead in a Prius?
@Meatcutter64 Is that it? is that the best you have? you were better off just shutting the fuck up rather than making yourself look like and even bigger Moron. But I guess you can't help the ignorant. and P.s. no I will not suck your dick but you can since you seem like the total fuck head that would try something like that.
you are male but you cannot count either. civic hybrid or toyota prius have about 3000 euros price premium compared to a similar sized car. since oil prices will always go up in the long term and with european gas prices a hybrid will pay for itself after three years already. there is a 160000 km warranty for the battery (which normally lasts thrice as long) so there is no need to buy a replacement for the whole lifetime of a hybrid car. and btw the ford escape hybrid technology is rather old.
So true, and you can never get rid of all of the shit thats in them. HYBRIDS IMHO arent the answer, not even close. Diesels give you higher fuel economy with less environemental impact if you factor in getting rid of all of the batteries, creating the batteries....etc.
mikew995, you are also talking bullshit. first, nimh batteries can be recycled completely and both toyota and honda pay an award for every used battery they get to recycle. no environment impact there. second, diesel is not very clean (mono nitrogen oxides, sulfur, fine particles). third, a diesel hybrid is not an oxymoron but rather a norm (all diesel locomotives are actually diesel electric). anyway, the future is hcci (which is a combination of the diesel and otto cycles) electric hybrid.
Right now, diesel is the answer, the new accord acheives 62mpg thats a full size car loaded. There isnt a single hybrid that can boast that kind of performance
i reckon its 5 stars because if you look closely, the front end absorbed and dissipated all the energy in such a way as to not even break the front windscreen, THATS RIGHT! the front windscreen never broke, it only cracked during the head on crash test, now THATS safety.
I'd still rather be in my gmc sierra 4x4. . . gas aint that expensive.

Looks like the drivers of the car will survive even for high speed crashes :), thanks for sharing.

i recon 4 stars simply because there are other cars out there which are alot more safe though that doesnt mean this car has poor safety
cdtoaster 3 years ago
Well, it got the highest rating (good)(Front end, and Side impact) in the US's IIHS test; which is much more vigorous than most govt tests.
mkgamesdotnet 3 years ago
yes, it is 4 stars, but that is not bad considering that euroncap has a stringent rating system.
alexkvaskov 3 years ago
id say 5 too. and no deformatin of the cabin. pretty sure that the door opens by just pulling the handle
weedymacweedweed 4 years ago
no, it is 4 stars. check out euroncap site.

Looks like drivers don't get cut by the windscreen pieces often anymore :].
ale03000 3 years ago
no, it got only 4 stars. it did pretty good, for euroncap has a stringent rating system. here is something REALLY safe:
euroncap (DOT)com/tests/peugeot_407_coupe_2005/244(DOT)aspx
and all of today's cars are designed to have the hood crumple and leave the occupants unharmed. here's the crash test results of the civic above:
euroncap (DOT) com/tests/honda_civic_2007/294 (DOT)aspx as you can see, the civic is safe, but not the safest.

lol must be comfortable with all that air bags during the crash,
4 stars?
