If the zune guys hadn't f-d up the first zune, zune hd'd probably be kicking ass and taking names right now. It's useless for apps, but that's cause noone cares enough for developers to develop any. It plays music and videos easier and better than the ipod. I lost mine, and discovered how much I miss it after replacing it with a touch...

But 3 years from now, Microsoft got all their zunes out of the canadian market and decided they would only sale the zune HD and all the others in USA. Good job Microsoft! Imo, they have lost a lot of custumers here in canada. I mean, some people even cross the border to USA just to get the Zune HD.

@Brandidoubi Well, there's the Z series model that is coming out in the next months. Its an android mp3 player, a real good thing. But it starts at 350$ i think, so it's a bit too expensive. But me, i'm getting the new A series walkman, the Nwz-a864 (8GB) in black. It's not too pricy, it has touch screen, a very good sound and some other stuff ^^. And imo, it's a good choice. But you gotta find what suits you best, i can't tell you what you would like in terms of mp3 player.
you spent like 2 minutes watching the screen turn on the zune. you guys are like "HOLY SHIT THE SCREEN IS TURNING SO QUICKLY!!!" thats no big deal! the actual iPod touch can actually process things well. and the internet doesn't take 30 minutes! so in my opinion. Zune can suck it!
The only thing ipods have over zunes are the hundreds of apps that you barely use. And ipods break when you drop them from 5in off the ground... I've thrown my zune(don't ask why) at the ground and its scratchless

The Zune's outer cover protects the device better so when you drop it it dont break or scratch as easy. To be honest considering that this is the FIRST model of zune HD whil apple has had tons of fails with the itouch. The zune is much better. Also people say it has less apps. I think that the only major advantage ipod has over zune is their app selection, but besides that the zune is better and cheaper.

The one thing you're right on is that they have more apps on the iPod. Too bad apps take up so much battery life.

The external speakers are shit anyways, it's not like I would buy an iPod over a Zune just because it has external speakers.

If you play through some $15 overear headphones it will be louder and clearer than crap external speakers.

@ImSoPeeved lolno. They've been working on a new Zune HD that will use a mixture of Android and Wp7 Apps. They started working on it when WP7 came out. Zune HD is not dead. It is very much alive. Expect a new Device in a year or so.
