I like the fact that Killeen has alot of diversity of people of different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. You also have soldiers and military families who come in from all over the country. And I miss that a whole lot about Killeen since I've lived in other places and feel out of place because of my ethnicity. Whenever I was in Killeen, I never felt like an outcast and felt right at home. People don't look at me weird or as if I'm an alien from another planet like people do up here in OK.

@kintopizo : Fui un soldado en Killeen hace aproximadamente 10 años atrás. Lo que me gustó de Killeen es que se parece algo como la ciudad de donde provengo pero 1/3 el tamaño. La verdád es que yo también tengo muchos gratos recuerdos de Killeen. Me siento afortunado de haber sido asignado servir en Ft. Hood despues de haber servido un año en Corea del Sur. El ambiente es muy bueno y no tan distinto a California de donde soy yo.

Ambos son originarios de Los Angeles y al mostrarles las distintas zonas de mi ciudad (Bakersfield), empezé hablar con el joven sobrino de mi amigo. De casualidad, el estaba tomando 2 semanas de descanso de su compromiso militar en Ft. Hood. Al platicar con el, me explico que Killeen ha cambiado mucho y no tiene el mismo ambiente de antes.
