PLUS the new, dumbed - down moniker " SyFy ", shows where their head, heart & soul are at.
I long for the days when they showed re - runs of original Star Trek, Lost in Space, Original BSG even, & classic science - fiction, with NetFlix & hulu I can at least tailor my video intake.
I think that the SYFY executives should not only be fire and put in a line up so the Cylons can shoot them for canceling both BSG and CAPRICA and for them ALLOWING them to put that fake ass wrestling Shit on a SYFY channel they need to be DRUG TESTED and put threw countless mental exams,for what you ask,WHO IN THE HELL thinks Wrestling is Science Fiction NOT ME. I didn't watch it on there and I won't ever watch it. GIVE US BACK OUR BELOVED CAPRICA ASS HOLES
It sucks that Caprica ended prematurely, but some of the blame goes to the producers and writers. There was way too much character and plot development before the toasters made much of an appearance, and viewers like myself became unpleasantly impatient.
I think that Caprica was a well-acted and well-produced show. Taken entirely on its own, I would have enjoyed it and been happy to count myself a fan.
Unfortunately, it's not entirely a stand-alone show. It's a prequel to Battlestar Galactica, and the last episode of BSG essentially ruined the entire franchise for me. "Kara, Headsix, and Headbaltar are angels sent by god, and everything - all the brutality and conflict, too - was put into motion by god." Give me a break, what lazy writing.
@HammerJohnM I agree, except I was put off by six and that dipshit Baltar from the very first episode onwards. Everything else was great... but every time they were on screen I tuned out. Still, the rest of the show had enough humanity in it to keep me watching, and imo Caprica is even better, so far (I'm up to ep 10). Only just found out they cancelled it and am very pissed off.
Just like Firefly and Dark angel, the good die young.
Damnit I wish at the least Syfy would let them make a miniseries or movie to wrap it alll up. If it's all about ratings then I'm sure the ratings will be higher then those stupid-ass ''syfy orignal movies''.

Caprica is an expensive show so they scuppered it deliberately to save face and dangled an olive branch in the form of a green screen/virtual back-lot back-door pilot.
I imagine NBC is doing the same thing with the channel itself by diluting the brand identity so they can later sell it on or rename the channel again, removing any pretense of interest in science fiction.

@RohanSpartin, they keep cancelling the good shows and filling up space with crap kile Pro Wrestling. FRIDAYS ysed to be the primetime of Science Ffiction, now they got Pro Wrestlin on Fridays.
I have bought so much Caprica stuff. Cups, a serge usb drive, for frak sake I even bought a Graystone toaster that toasts a U-87 face in your toast! this was after Syfy abandoned it and I'm still going to buy season 1.5 when it comes out. Please Syfy bring this show back and show the BSG fans what they mean to you. Caprica was great TV and will do extreamly well on DVD if you give it the chance.
It was the best show ever, the good shows they always cancelled and put bad ones in they´re place...sad
