LOL omgfgg...thanks. I was in my room doing some last minute studying with the window open when i hear raccoon sounds. Thankfully im on the second floor but i thought it would be funny if i played some sounds back at them in their own little language...lol i was actually hearing more talky sounds after it. lol....there goes my midnight experiments lol

glowramia - what part of the country do you live in? rabies is not all that common... a "Have-a-heart" type trap is your best easy solution - a live trap catches them for release elsewhere. Let me know if you need any advice. wildlifeuplift@gmail.com

thanks this is useful to me right now... i have a baby trapped in the basement of my building and its calling are similiar to this... didn't know if it was a rabid calling or what but im kinda sure its a baby lost and calling for its mom.

When A raccoon calls for another raccoon.. it doesn't make that sound.

Its more of a whistle than a chatter.

Awesome! I *love* it! This is the video that I watched this morning that led me to your Flickr account this morning - I abolutely admire your love for the raccoons! I would love to get shots like this! I got a similar shot just a few minutes ago of a squirrel chittering away that I'll post as a response to this when I get it uploaded!

Do the adult raccoons ever chitter like this, or only the kits? I've taped one or 2 videos of adults sniffing at my mic, but they don't chitter like that...
