i noticed a few seconds in the ribbon got really large>.< i bet you saw the small ribbom line above the thick one and combinde it by accident, even with the mistake it looks sureal amazing!
I can relate to loosing my place in a complicated rendering. That was really funny. I am amazed how you get so much accomplished. You get a pass Matt, you have helped me so much with my drawings and I have attended art school! Drawing is what separates the OK artists from the really great artists in my book. If one can not draw, how can they call them self and artist?
I always want to draw better so I search out artists like you...and then I feel like an idiot afterwards because you all draw so well...oh well...you win some you lose some....it was a relief to see that you make mistakes as well...I don't feel as depressed. We are all learning still....
@wasdphoenix666 I don't think he draws them, he traces them because you never see him start something from the beginning. Everything is always half finished and all he does is gently stroke bits of the drawing with a pencil for ten minutes.
@EustonFilms...Have you heard (do you understand?) what he is saying, while he draws in those 10 min? In Youtube, it's not about the teacher, it's about understanding and the will to learn. Have a great day!! :)
@Supiripanto OK, Why do we never see a drawing from the start? If you look at the video of his Drawing Girls video, He has numerous versions of this artwork and they have an uncanny look that they have been traced. If he does these drawings freehand then why can't I see one started from scratch where he lays out the drawing. That is my challenge to him.
Studying the works of better artists is a double-edged sword: it provides deep inspiration, but can generate an unshakeable inferiority complex. Without poking fun, and with the greatest respect, I say it's refreshing to see a professional screw up once in a while (and have the honesty to post it). :)
I know. Everytime I see the work of somebody better than me, I momentarily fall into a mini depression. The only thing that drags me out of it is the thought that maybe I'd be as good as them one day.
marry me, dude, we'll be drawin together:p
