I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
@mattsvantage no, the grey aston in Casino Royal is also a DB5. Watch the scene again and take a look at the back of the Aston. It´s different to the DB6.
btw: James Bond hasn´t ever driven an Aston Martin DB6.
When I was 9 & lived with Oma in Baarn for a year she bought me the Bond toy car. I think Corgi made it , maybe Matchbox. The guns popped out, eject your passenger if need be, & a big spoiler (shield) in the back. Just think how much that thing is worth, let alone the real ones.
@kolbpilot , de Bond matchbox aston martin zie ik nog geregeld op autobeurzen en zelfs in de originele doos uit de 60's....denk dat voor 100 - 150 euro je een echte originele hebt, valt dus mee ;-)
I'll have to say the DB4 Zagato but if I had to get one, it would be the DB6 because of the sheer price of the other two. I'm not saying the DB6 is anywhere near cheap, but comparing the DB5 & the DB6, the DB6 looks almost like the DB5 except the backside and is much more stable at high speeds.
Bond was suppose to drive DB5, not a DB6. Really the Bond car was a DB4GT demo car. I tried talking my father into buying a DB6 when I was in High School. Now he regrets it, and so do I.
truck sound!

Sounds like it needs serious engine work. The driver can't hear it, he's ON THE PHONE!

db4 db5 or db6? wich one is your favourite? bearing in mind the db5 costs around 130k and the db6 is 90k

yeah totally, i think i'd go for the db4 zagato too. how much do they go for? more than the db5?
ferris5150 3 years ago
I'm not sure the exact price but it is over three or four times the price easily because only 14 was ever produced!!!!

Genuine DB4 Zagato... In the millions, 3 to 4 if your lucky.
