masterpiece, unfortunately i lost the discs, but i know many years from now i will find it again in a library, all covered in dust, and think to myself, 'this game is where it all started so long ago'.

This cutscene makes me shiver everytime I see it...it brings me a lot of memories from when I bought this game, back in 2002. I remember I first wanted to play resident evil, but ended up with eternal darkness, and I am very happy that I made the right choice afterall. This game gave me a whole new perspective of reality, even almost 10 years after I first played it.

Its surely a masterpiece, and a very underrated one.

Easily one of the greatest games ever made. It's a perfect mix of horror, historical fiction, and H.P. Lovecraft mythos. There's also the superb gameplay, writing, and voice acting -- elements missing from practically every "next gen" game of today.

another interesting thing i've found out is that the king Charlemagne the Frank(murdered in anthony's chapter) really existed, and died under uncertain circunstances aswell...some say he was poisoned...just think its really nice to see a real character with a mysterious end like this in the game, make it looks like it could be real.

Eternal Darkness has some very clear Cthulu Mythos influences.

I loved this game SO much, ever since I was nine. I'd never heal my sanity on purpose just to see the various sanity effects. I think I like it to much, I get a bit obsessive... I even made models of Mantorok's Temple, the runes, and Ulyaoth. If only he was real... I sometimes wish I was chosen by the gods my self =P

Man I loved this game! One of my favourite introductions of a game - I got this about 2 years after it came out wondering "I never actually got around to playing this!" I was not dissapointed when I first head the words "I am also dead" I knew I was in for something special! Also I love the quote "Your perceptions will not change reality but simply colour it" how true

I think everyone who has ever played this game has nearly lost thier minds. It's so twisted it plays with the player while they play it (if that make sense). I think they really set out to change the face of game in which you feel really involved and it truely is a game above games or so I say...

That game made many insane and almost made me insane. Toying with my mind saying "Your Memory Card is Corrupt" or muting the TV and then placing it on it's highest volume the game can make it or even just making you appear decapitated in front of millions of zombies. Believe me it follows you into the night if you get paranoid off the game.
