I HAVE HEARD the Caracas performance many times and was astounded. But this is beyond words. I BELIEVE a true artist is NEVER satisfied and is ALWAYS looking for a new approach and a new way to perform each piece. With this, we can all see that GEORGE at this tender age, already knows the secrets of the greats.

I didn't know about this player until yesterday and that is because he subscribed to my channel, which is devoted to a NEC alum, a singer. I'm touched by his interest.  (Another role model for him might be Hilary Hahn.) In the mean time I don't know if this is too fast or two slow. I'm no piano afficiando. He plays great and he's fun, EXCITING. His confidence and enthusiasm reminds me a bit of Yo-Yo Ma. Let's hope he keeps this up an has an concert career as an adult.

This is a truely breathtaking speed! But nevertheless I never have the feeling that he cannot control the tempo. Although I prefer the Caracas-version it is a real delight to watch him and the orchestra. They really have fun and thats one of the greatest gifts of all - the talent to play the music so well and having fun doing it...

generally, George plays most pieces faster than other pianists and this piece is particularly too fast. to be honest, i would prefer modest tempo. pianists like Horowitz and Kempff never went to extreme tempo.

George, I have listened to your chamber music playing and your concerto playing. On both counts, you do spectacularly well.

However, it is as a concerto player that you are imcomparable, whether in artistc understanding or technical virtuosity.

Your tempo get quicker and quicker every time you perform this, and now it almost seems like it's a race to the finish. Nonetheless, impressive work. Try listening to some mature pianists such as Gilels play this. You'll find the the tempo isn't as crucial as it seems.

I think Geroge has arrived at a new level with this performance. He had us totally enthralled and captivated. Here is a musician in service of the music, with humility and deep understanding. It is heartwaming to hear that young people are inspired to love classical music in the mini-concerts. "Music in the Community" is a project founded by the late Yehudi Menuhin in England. He wanted to bring classical music to hospitals, care homes, schools etc George is following his worthy footsteps.
