Kids like this are the sweetest, and cutest kids ever. I was talking to my friend about that. I love helping these kids in my school. I get along with them and they trust me. Its like they are my own brothers and sisters. <3
pretty lame because jason is the best thing that has happened in my family. and he definitely does NOT take away from my family. and when he was running away from the video it was more of a "playing" around kinda thing. jason is very high functioning and is not severe. he rarely gets mad because he's learning to OVERCOME his autism. sounds impossible but he's succeeding.
My brother has autism and it's very hurtfull to me. I mean please don't get me wrong, I love my brother. He's my only one but at my school everyone has about like 5 brothers and 6 sisters or something like that, and well it's just me and him. I can't hold a conversation with him like most sibblings can. And I have alot of relatives, but they hve their own family. Sometimes I feel like I'm traped. I try to get him out of his habbits, (like talking to himslef.
And rocking and walking with his head down and mumbling to himself. Nobody understands what I'm saying I don't know many with autistic sibblings they all think autistic mean "retarded".
This is what my brother does all the time! I wish people could understand how amazing my brother is. They just can't see it. It's hard having a little brother with autism but also it's a gift from God. I also wonder why God made my brother with autism but he has a plan. I hope! I love my brother soooo much and I always will! Keep up the good work!
to me it looked like typical sibling stuff! 'm happy it's sorted since we probably all agree with CreddyEddy's last point re acceptance :) cf Christchool's Acceptance, wouldn't it be nice, also in the posautive group
you seem to me to know how to live with him! - could CreddyEddy have posted the comment to the wrong video? I thought this was a very nice little video of your lively brother, and I've put it into the posautive youtube group and it s kids subgroup, thank you!
Looking back, I think the thing that scared me was that he seemed to be trying to get away from the camera, particularly toward the end, and I wondered whether someone would put a video of a non-autistic person who didn't want to be videoed online.
I'm sorry for having had to say that. It's just that I see these heartfelt vids and comments these days about how autism takes children away and destroys families and most of them have some sort of "help us find a cure" message at the end.
It really depresses me that much of the problem could be solved by just accepting people for who they are, and I was trying to comment constructively if negatively.

I won't do a "drive by one staring" again.
One thing I would ask you though is if you don't know how to live with him, how do you expect him to live with you?
