@Dethcult666 is absolutely right! Judas Priest was a great influence to all metal bands after '80s and is still one of the greatest influences of all metal music humankind will ever see!
Just discovered this video but i personally think it's only (messy) triggered bassdrums and single strokes over the 100+ toms. He borowed one of the parts from Death / Judas Priest on their sound of perseverance album. Richard Christy is much more an innovator as this guy. Must admit, though i'm not in metal that much anymore, Keep of Kalessin has a cool overall sound.
@28jdd well keep in mind that this was not a planned solo, it was spontanious drumming contest between 2 drummers i believe. And after playing a whole set of keep of kalessin i bet your mind aint that crerative, as in tired.
hahaha bad bass drum sound but still this guy is just amazing... for those who don't know him, listen to the song Vengeance Rising from the band Keep of Kalessin hahahahaha it'll blow your mind

dudes you all get so pissed about my comment but is the truth... that solo is showing only speed and more speed..... look up for Horacio "el negro" Hernandez and that is a drummer with groove
Solo is all about technique, I think. This guy has no problems with rhythm and technique whatsoever. If you listen to the music, though, you might feel the "soul" as well.
otherwise: no one want to hear a rythm on a keep of kalessin concert...so he doesn't play a rhythm...i think he can play it either...no, i can't proove it, but i think..
Either he and/or Keep of Kalessin were invited to play by the festival's producer/musical director that year. They basically told them to let it all hang out and just do their thing, which is some of the best extreme metal out there today (which is why they were invited to begin with).
Balls that was bad ass!

"there is no rhythm"
The whole thing was perfectly in rhythm, I think someone just has a bad sense of rhythm.
