  • this is awesome , love the build !

  • Do you know any tutorials on how to use this program?

  • Are you just using the mobius program by itself or are you using it with another program

  • what kind of soundcard do you use??

  • @g159754 Just my regular onboard soundcard..

  • I really like the melody man! I'm going to try this software... do you know if it works better than ambiloop? cheers!

  • @EyeNoiseProject I haven't tried it yet. [...clicking off to the download page...]

  • @EyeNoiseProject After five minutes of use, I can see it has some powerful features, I will definitely check it out more.

  • @dizyart cool man, let me know how it goes!

  • lol now this video got me walkin around the house saying "Boom boom boom baaaam badadoomp"

  • @dizyart yea i get how it works now i've started using it. Performed with at a talent show 2 days ago and that was awesome. This is a really strong software to be free i love its customizability.

  • @gumdrops27 Yeah, but its really missing plugins for sound enhancements or something of the kind. I'd love to be able to slap on an EQ or echo/delay on a particular channel or even a specific layer and being able to toggle it, even after recording it. Now I have to do it manually, before the signal hits the computer. You can use Möbius as a virtual instrument within another program, but that's cumbersome...

  • Shameless fan!

  • Just wondering, how did you sync your overdubbing so well?

  • @gumdrops27 Latency cancelling is done by ASIO4ALL software, once you get started with a rhythmical loop, the timing gets copied to all future loops/layers. The tricky part is actually staying in time with yourself. It was hard at times, cause, you would like the recorded stuff to follow you sometimes, as human musicians would. :D

  • DOPENESS

  • Really nice man....I just got Mobius recently and have been trying to wrap my head around the possibilities. Bit of I learning curve ahead. Great vid

  • I love it! I like the fact that you have been good natured about tychonaut's critique - the mark of a musician - but I'm not hearing any major problems with pitch. One of the things I love the most about the jazz tradition is that people will stretch themselves until some of the elements of their playing begin to fall apart, like Coltrane pursuing an idea until he begins to crack a few notes. Whatever you do, don't clean it up too much.

  • Excellent vid and great idea taking a standard into the modern realm. Tiny criticism is that your pitch (although great compared to a lot of [especially guy] singers] is enough to keep this out of the "amazing" category for me. Its good in your high range, but is a little loose in your lower register. I hope you still pay attention to stuff like that?

But still .. I really liked it!

  • @tychonaut thank you for your comment, which is actually a great observation! Expanding your vocal range is a lengthy process, one which I haven't yet undertaken, most obviously! There's a lot of things in this performance I'd criticize myself, pitch, length, timbre, etc. But I still posted it - just to show what can be done with Möbius and to set a bar for myself that I should raise one day! :D

    Thanks!

  • @dizyart No problem! And thanks for not freaking out over criticism like some do. Just wondering.. did you start singing and get into "beats/boxes" after, or the other way around? Loopstations are a really cool tool for vocalists.. but since chord changes are tricky to pull off, they can be a bit limiting too. I like how you are kindof going a bit "eastern" (on a standard, of course)... thats a good vibe to explore with looping, one that suits your voice, and a pretty unique thing!

  • @tychonaut Thanks for asking. I was originally a violinist and I sang in choirs my whole life. Now I play a lot of instruments, mainly bass guitar - two years ago I joined Perpetuum Jazzile (you should check it out) and that's when I started thinking vocally. I was beatboxing for fun little before that. If you liked this, you should definitely check out Beardyman and DubFx, my personal favorites.

  • Hey man sweet vid! You should check out the vox from this Bobby McFerrin vid and learn from this cat.

  • How do you use mobius in time?

Like I try recording things on mobius but the loops feel off because i cant stop the loop directly after i do my last sound or things get off.

  • @Jsizzle267 Read the previous comment to digglesMcgee... :) Use ASIO 4 ALL software, or get yourself a zero-latency sound card.

  • show man!!!! very nice

  • Very cool, just downloaded mobius and wanted to see some videos of people using it. Great jam and great voice.

  • @digglesMcgee If you are using Windows you should use Asio4All if you don't have an ASIO audio card, to cancel the latency.

  • @dizyart how do you configure mobius with ASIO? I just see ASIO at the top of audio setting but could not select input and output device.

  • @ebilvri Install ASIO4ALL program.

Then, in Möbius, go to Configuration -> Audio Devices. Select the ASIO radio button at the top. Under it, you have 3 selectable menus: Input device, Output device and ASIO device. You should select ASIO4ALL only in the third menu.

Then, go to the ASIO4ALL control panel (in the taskbar, next to the clock). You can pin and unpin different audio devices on your computer, based on your where you stick your mic to.

    Hope this helps!

  • Bravooooooo! UFF! Great!

  • Bravo Vanje! :)

  • we want more:)

  • Nice!!! But, dont forget to practice the "j__o ti bas m___r ;)
