SFIV - Ryu Hoshi's Theme (HQ)

The only SF characters that I know that has last names are these: Ken Masters, Cammy White, Edmund Honda, Charlie Nash, Mike Bison (the boxer), Yun and Yang Lee, Cody Travers, Dan Hibiki, Maki Genryusai, Karin Kanzuki, Sakura Kasugano, Cracker Jack, Sean Matsuda, Hokuto, Kairi & Nanase Mizugami, Pullum Purna, Saburo Nishikoyama (aka Skullomania), Allen Snider, Darun Mister, & Blair Dame. Others like Thunder Hawk, Rainbow Mika, El Fuerte, Crimson Viper, & Doctrine Dark are likely just nicknames.

@pnoytagger84 Yeah a lot of people was the same way. Cause if you notice almost every character in Street Fighter has only one name. Like how people doesn't know that Ken's last name is Masters and the E in Honda's name is Edmond. I prefer 1st and surnames like how DOA did it.

@pnoytagger84-Hoshi is Ryu's last name in the Street Fighter film. Ryu's surname in the game is unknown.

Gouki isn't Ryu's father, nowhere has there ever been any evidence to suggest that, except maybe in a movie. But SF movies aren't canon.

ninboy. we don;t know who ryu's father is. Gouken was Ryu's master, Akuma wanted to teach ryu but was turned down, which is why he has an interest in fighting ryu

he wanted to fight ryu to show that goukens was weak and therefore his pupil (ryu) was weak although there is no official proof for akuma being ryu's dad it is a possibility given that in the movie sayaka was supposedly pregnant possibly with akumas baby and that baby maybe ryu but it is all speculation.

you're somewhat right about akuma, he wants to see if Ryu is powerful enough to control the dark hadou and fight ryu to the death. As Akuma always says: "Where? Where can I find the one to stand against me?"

okay whatever about the last name, there has to be a relation (like relatives) between akuma and ryu, street alpha generations basically said their father and son, the dark hadou is a bloodline trait (which they both have), Shin, ryu's little brother, had it and said their father has it too, they have to be relatives

Akuma isn't Ryu's father. There's no sign of any family connection between the two, and them having a Yuujiro-Baki kind of relationship would ruin it.

it was only applied in the Street fighter movie. the one starring Jean Claude Van Damme. but Capcom never made it official so Ryu's surname still unknown.
