Such an amazing venue, this video really brings out what the place means to people! I really hope more people come along with the money before we loose yet another legendary venue!
Also saw Stephen Dale Petit on BBC the other day announcing the donation of his new singles proceeds to the cause. And Jon Morter (The guy behind the christmas Rage Against The Machine number 1) is also onboard to help push it! Wish I could have made it to his gig on the first too.
the 100 club is an iconic venue - when you got there and see the photos of the people who have played there on the wall you get the idea, the stones, sex pistols, amongst loads of others.
It would be a massive shame to see this piece of history slide into the dust.
The 100 Club is truly a legendary venue, where else could boast a roster as diverse as it does, from the finest jazz and blues to the filthiest punk rock... it troubles me that billions can be poured into minority interest sports fest the olympics via the unwitting taxpayer, yet a venue as culturally important as this is allowed to go the wall because everything is bloody judged by its profitability... come on Jagger! Get yet Ya Yas out and save the place! I would if I had the means!
I used to promote many Nights Of Trash at the 100 Club in the mid to late 80's. The first ever gig for Shane and the Pogues was when I put them on to open for one of my Trash bands, probably the Cannibals. I was right up front when the Stones did their magic secret gig in about 1977 or so and I was there for the Pistols when they played there in '76 or '77. I have one of the original small posters from the door from that night. If I win the lottery soon I'll try and save the club. Fat chance!
We are playing there on Wednesday 24 November in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust for the first time ever. Hopefully it won't be the last! Come along! 55 Degrees.
ok .. am posting this on ffruk.com and sending it out to people ... , we re lucky we got to play there 3 times this year ... really really hope it gets saved quick <3

Some pretty wealthy stars have had career defining moments at the 100 club, Hopefully their pockets will be as deep as their back catalogues.......

Watching the camera go down those stairs gave me a buzz, I've had some killer nights in there. Good luck with the campaign

I was there only last week!
Please help to keep The 100 Club open for future generations if you possibly can!
I think it should be saved by English Heritage, but it's not looking good.
I wish you all the best, at look forward to seeing another band there soon.

Wow, what an excellent video.
I'm going there tonight for Warehouse Republic, a perfect example of an up and coming band getting to play in such a place.
Shame on the powers that be for it even being threatened.
The campaign is viable. Save The 100 Cub!
