pause it at 36 seconds you can see where the video was edited or photoshoped. the shadow of the light pole gets cut off and you can see the background above the hood doesnt match to well.

Ok, so here is the truth behind the video. Watch closely where Kobe is and where the car is when in comes into the camera. You can see that the car is to the left of Kobe when he jumps, avoiding the danger of being hit by the car. You can hear and see that the car moves closer to the camera after he jumps (not the car getting closer to the camera and the squeal of the car). So to avoid danger the car drives beside him and turns into where he was so that he has no danger of being hurt.

"objects may be closer than they appear" Think 2D people... Since Kobe's closer to the camera than the car he appears larger and the car appears smaller, making it much easier to jump over.

Also its not done on a blue screen, you can see his shadow on the car as it passes by

It's fake. Two images transposed. Kobe is in a green screen room. Lakers would never let him risk a stunt like that. He would get fined and it would be all over the news

its obviously fake.. he may be next to the car, or he may be on the side. but the fact is that he can't jump that high. its a camera trick and he is being lifted up with ropes or string.. just like David Copperfield.

If you watch the video in slow motion you can see exactly where he takes off from. I downloaded the video to slow it down because the cars moving pretty fast. He would have cleared the thing if he was really standing in front of it, but who knows how many takes they had to do to get it right.

for anybody who hasn't figured it out, he's standing to the side of the car. since video is only shot in 2D and the viewing angle is perpendicular to the motion of the car, it appears as if he is standing directly in front. this is still a pretty dangerous stunt for a guy who made $33,718,750 in 2007
