  • I wish to know if the equipment [what is shown on the screen mentioning US$ prices are available in Mumbai, India. If yes, then kindly let me have the names and addresses of the suppliers. Since I am staying in Mumbai since last 50 years, I know the city as palm of my hand. If I can be of any help, please do not hesitate. My name is Sunder Thadani, and I am on the Internet since 1999 and any search engine will vouch for me.

    Kind Regard

  • ground your antenna, it is a giant lightning rod!!

  • I see your feet :) jiji

  • I got rid of cable a few weeks ago, and I read all these great reviews on the radio shack website on this 12 dollar "radio shack budget antenna" its an indoor antenna, plugged it in, scanned for channels, and found 20 channels, and the HD was better than time warner's. its the cheapest antenna on the site, and its the one that works best. I'm glad I bought it

  • if its not conected with an hdmi cable then its not "HD" its just standar analog channels

  • @pitbull23d fail

  • @pitbull23d are the hd channels you get from your cable provider not hd then? it is a coax cable that brings those channels into your cable box.

  • that's a fucking shitty antenna...

  • Dec 29, 2007

  • so good so usefull

  • or you can just buy internet and watch tv online... most of the big networks post all their shows online to watch.

  • would this get espn 1 2 3 4 fox sports, fox soccer etc

  • congratulations dude you did what the antennae ALREADY DOES. If you have a decent antenaee hooked up to your house like the old ones, they get FREE HD shows over the air have for the past 2 years now and you do not need boosters you just need an HDTV. this video is absolute crap.

  • Good Ole' JunkShack

  • great it works thanks man

no ime cidding it works but not hd tv

  • um you need a converter box now :p

  • @surikan1 Not for Digital TV's

  • @JDTV1995 no u need it now u cannot scan for regular atenna signal they change the signal frequency that tv cant pick up

  • @surikan1 They stopped ANALOG broadcasting and changed it to DIGITAL broadcasting format... The ANALOG TV's cannot pick it up because they have an ANALOG ONLY tuner, that's what the converter boxes are for. The DIGITAL TV's already have a DIGITAL tuner, so no need for the converter box

  • @JDTV1995

the only thing digital tvs will pick up anymore IF they are a QAM tuner TV is 2-13 at the most.

  • @ejkewl316 digital tv's have an ATSC (digital) tuner as well. QAM i believe is used for cable service

  • @surikan1 i have the box but i dont get the tv show i want :(

  • Great going!

  • oh my god.

I wasted a download for this!!!!!!

  • oh my god.

  • This is some gangsta ass music right here.. Makes me want to go crazy.

  • Nice music

  • With more and more people getting rid of their overpriced cable and dishes, more free channels are starting up over the air broadcast. One new one starting in January is called Antenna TV...it is like Nick at Nite TV land but has lots more classic TV shows.

  • put your foot down man.

  • Some one let this guy in radio shack and he had a vision and it wasent good

  • you have to be kidding me that is bad. F Y I when you go to radio shack they have know idea what they selling you. So boys and girls leave the wiring up to the satellite guys cause really if i go to one more house to hook up dish and see that crap im gonna freak out

  • Wow that is a nigger-rigged install! HA!

  • If the signal is strong in my area, do I need to buy this amplifier?

  • @Krica5veces no

  • does it have porn?

  • @joshuanel18 yes

  • Wow HDTV antennas are great! Only thing is you should have them professionally installed! This sloppy job showed here doesn't even have the antenna grounded!!!!! Lightning strikes all your home electronics are fried!

If you're in the Greater Toronto Area. Talk to theantennaguys . com who can get you all set up. Tell em Shawn sent you... enjoy saving money!

  • @MrTvToronto funny thing is is that ive seen worse jobs on youtube with satelite hookups.

  • Wow HDTV antennas are great! Only thing is you should have them professionally installed! This sloppy job showed here doesn't even have the antenna grounded!!!!! Lightning strikes all your home electronics are fried!

  • They Way I set up mine was I called time warner and had them install, canceled next day and just ran a drop from an outdoor antenna to the box and used the free amplifier they left connected to my living room tv. So now I basicly have a professional looking setup while only paying for the tvs, coax cable, and the antenna.

  • @thekooldude215 lmfao good job.

  • A great resource is tv fool, which can give you a map of local stations near your physical address. That way you know what direction to point your antenna.

  • You shuld always ground your antenna with a coax grounding

  • nice beats what is called??

  • isnt hdtv free anyways? ?

  • Remember not all areas have HD Signals.

  • guys, remember~ this is ONLY for "FREE TO AIR" channels~ not for cable tv~ :)

but still, please correct my understanding if i'm wrong~ (without thumb downing me)~

  • you should apply for the Jackass show

  • The antenna works, but if youre out far the best thing I found is VIEWSATNOW for free channels from any satellite in space... and its supposedly legal too, check it out

    viewsatnow . Herobo . com

  • @aago1254 I have one myself, I don't really like it, but a person could hook a OTA antenna and watch locals as well, most FTA boxes (if not all these days) have a hook up for a OTA ariel.

  • there is an eisier way!

    smartproductreviewz.blogspot

  • .com

  • dont tvs have all that built in now a days.

its called dtv, or atsc tuner!

  • Not to ruin the fun,but I purchased a basic cheap $8 antenna{indoor} hooked it up to my HDTV and watched march-madness{CBS} in Crystal clear High Def. you don't need a fancy expensive HD antenna and amplifier to receive HD ABC,NBC,FOX,CBS and PBS programing

  • @watso64 Not everyone live in your location. You might stay near the network's transmitter. Many people live in suburban/rural areas and may have a harder time receiving those channels. This will require an amplified outdoor mounted anntenna. And you may think your $8 setup may be fine for you but you could be missing out on other channels. You just dont realise it because you never connected a more powerful antenna before.

  • @treyatl2006 I have a RCA 110 ant antenna and get 31 channels. Most are in the same position. I live about 55-60 miles outside of Philadelphia and still get 50% signal. I believe my the antenna was $10 I will probably upgrade in a few months to an amplified model.

  • @640101vh I think you are missing the point. The point is most people in rural areas cant receive many channels using unamplified antenna. What about the people who are outside those 50 miles. I want 2 know if those miles are driving distance miles or linear distance miles? Linear miles would be more appropriate. Anyway I know because I live on the outskirts of metro Atlanta and I can only get a few channels until I added an amplifier to my antenna. I live about 65 linear lin miles 4rm da trans

  • if you wanna save money through calls then use this number 08000686323.

  • Hope thats a temp install - the box with the cord belongs indoors only. Same setup that people have used for over the air for decades only now you need a line of sight antenna to get good reception with digital. No snow for weak signal like analog, just a black screen. Use RG6 or better and wrap the outdoor F connections with connector tape (Radio Shack sells it) to keep water out. Def get a lightning arrestor in the coax once you finalize that setup.

  • You can watch TV right from your laptop or desktop computer anytime or anywhere in the world. Or connect your computer directly to your TV set

  • Good lord you destroyed your house...

  • mirko ma va anke in italia ?

  • these are free to anyone, these are Over the Air channels. just buy a good antenna

  • If you are going to mount an antenna outside, you need some sort of lightning arrester that is connected to ground. That way, if lightning hits the antenna, the charge is safely directed to ground, instead of destroying and possibly setting fire to your equipment.

  • But why would lighting hit the antenna, when there are probably trees and other large items like churches around...

Does no-one in america have an antenna?

  • @sim2lew I have antennas and I install towers and antennas - metal is way better than trees for conduction and lightning isnt like an arc - it's so much electricity it can hit numerous things at one time - antenna, tree, ground, buried sewer lines, etc. A $5 lightning arrestor and $10 copper or zinc coated iron 8 ft grounding rod is cheap compared to a fire or death (yeah you can die if you are on a landline phone or in contact with TV equip when they get zapped). It's no joke with lightning

  • @bjornredtail

Nobody here in the UK earths their antenna (aerial in UK). In storms the static energy can be sucked into equipment or the amp/booster, but connecting it to earth makes it attractive to lightning as it's a route to earth and that's what it's after! there are for's and against's, some big systems are earthed!

Lightning may get to that amp he has on his antenna, but its fairly rare, i should know, ive been doing them professionally for 27 years, so nuff said!

  • @bjornredtail Even with cable or satellite a lightning arrestor on the cable is a necessity. Even phone lines need lightning arrestors - any conductor exposed to the open outside can be a carrier if a strike happens along the line. Matter of fact the National Electrical Code (NEC) covers lightning protection for outdoor communications equipment (antennas, cable, satellite, etc). Lightning hitting an unprotected antenna, mast, coax, etc can even start a fire in the building.

  • @bjornredtail Even with the best possible arresting setup, it is not possible to get 100% lightning protection, as a Ham I know this all to well, it is best to have a gas discharge aresstor grounded with thick solid single strand copper (not copper plated aluminum or steel) and have every leg of the tower, pole mast or post grounded to a 10ft or more copper plated rod, (no aluminum, soil can destroy aluminum quite quickly) it is just best to disconnect your coax and keep it away from conductors

  • @bjornredtail Or the house......

  • If you have Comcast, Charter, or Cox Cable just order the internet and leave off the TV and Phone package. Hook the Coaxial to your Flatscreen and use the built in TV Tuner to scan for all the channels. You will get way more channels than you do over the air as the Over air trick doesn't work in all locations. I've tried it on the Coaxial and I get almost everything and other channels I had to upgrade to see. I only pay for internet.

  • @CommanderB9488

what channels do you get? What coaxial are you talking about?

  • yo i stick a tooth of a fork in back of my tv and im getting 20 hd channels

  • LOL u guys do know the government changed signals to digital right? just buy a converter box..

this vid was made back in 07 its way outdated...no need to do this anymore.

  • hd broadcast television is transmitted trough digital! there is no way that hd can be transmitted trough analog!

  • That is HD antenna you moron. I have one already I bought it from amazon. com it works great. Outdoor HD antenna can receives digital signal from HD broadcasting towers up to 50 miles away. Go buy one retard !!

  • why not just get a dish and FTA recever

  • i did but i cant find the fta files do you know how ?

  • Comment removed

  • Why do you need all this?

My Great Grandma (who is 87) just has a 18' LCD from Vizio with just a normal coaxial antennae and she gets more than these 20 channels for only the $350 for the TV and the $20 for the cable/antennae.

And those who say the video is fake, you are wrong. It is OTA (Over The Air) broadcast in a digital signal to the antennae. Plus most of you all say

    "IS FAKE"

    At least say

    "IT'S FAKE"

    Great video though.

  • What if you dont use the amplifier, i thought boosters are used when long distances of RG6 are used.

  • you can try without... but my antenna is connected to 3 tv, so the signal may be not so strong. I made this antenna like people do in italy. Everyone have the antenna on the roon and they do use an amplifier.

  • @mirkojax

Preamps are only needed if you are not getting the channels you expect to be getting or you are in a fringe area. If you over-amplify the signal you can actually lose strong stations due to signal overload.

  • @juanacious

Pre-amps can also be used to offset the noise in your TV's tuner. Without a pre-amp, the TV tuner sets the SNR, but if a pre-amp is used, and it has a lower noise figure than the TV tuner, the pre-amp sets the SNR. Given that most TV tuners have 5-8 db noise, and a good pre-amp has 2-3 db noise, using a pre-amp can boost the SNR by 2-6 db. The problem is that pre-amps are prone to overload from strong local signals, which can cause the TV tuner to lower SNR on all channels.

  • this is

     gay

  • do you install you boodter power outside (*L*)

  • This isn't news.

  • Do you not have vocal chords? Why is this a music video and not narrated?

  • Do you think receiving the air channels through the tv antenna is fake? Do you think you can watch tv only paying a monthly fee to the cable?

  • This video is just showing you how to receive the FREE over the air (OTA) channels that you are able to get in your area. Unfortunately, some people get very few local channels, or they get tired of/don't like the programing on their local channels. This is why most people will get cable/satellite/etc.

  • 110%, its work.

    smart software.

    thanks

  • how many channels do you get?

  • it is not fake he is receiving OTA Retarrd

  • Nice you people in USA have channels fta in terrestial...here in Sweden they have encrypted almost all channels even in terrestial :-( I'm using a sattelite dish and watching other european channels that sends fta ;-)

  • they broadcast in HD now on Dtv no more analog right? isn't it HD??? looks HD to me

  • Jesus bless U bro !

  • This is not illegal. This is free over the air local broadcast channels that get sent out through the air. Alot of you people are dumber then a bag of nails.

  • people are stupid..

  • @rep0eagle The antenna works, but if youre out far the best thing I found is VIEWSATNOW for free channels from any satellite in space... and its supposedly legal too, check it out

    viewsatnow . Herobo . com

  • @rep0eagle is there someone that actually said that this was illegal ? Well, if they did, I would have been in trouble 35+ years ago......lol.... Had an old Channel Master dialing rotor and the fine tuning on the black & white tv that used vaccum tubes would be in question as well...lol... Eventually, the one that asked that question was not born before the 70s, 80s, or 90s...lol....

  • @rep0eagle i know right? like seriosly...if they brodcast channels why wouldnt they want everyone to watch them...besides if it WAS ilegal then it would be imposible for the police to know whos geting the channels...people out there can be such idiots......

  • yeah you either got HD ready TV or an HD TV with a converter box and either way its a government conspiracy to lessen the quality of our free television now i am using four times as much energy when im trying to be green yes that's TV digital converter box in line amplifier high gain indoor antenna and (next section)

  • i think your TV is aleady ready for HDTV so the channels would come in anyway with or without your set up

  • yes, but if you don't have an antenna outside you will not see anything good.

  • @mirkojax well actually i only have 3 wires running around the top sides of may room an im geting REALLY GOOD tv channels(my fave is fox XD)

  • omg great video, nice toes

  • wher do u buy tha amplifire

  • *sarcasm* OMG OMG OMG FREE HDTV I WANT SOME,

tooo bad in australia its already free.

  • you pay for it with taxes.

  • You going to just leave the amp hanging outside like that?

  • That antenna is only good if you live in a UHF only market like South Bend Indiana. Markets like Chicago will still have 2 VHF stations after June 12, and that type of antenna won't get VHF stations. So for those who live in VHF/UHF markets have to look at antennas that get 2-69 (2-51 after June 12).

  • or just don't get a tv...

  • do you get free ppv's with that? i got a friend who has a satilitte thing where he can watch free PPV's.

  • Your "friend" seems to have subscribed to "basic" satellite service and has a hacked digital card for his converter box which allows him to view all channels.

  • nah, actually it turned out he had something called an fta receiver.

  • its really HD quality ??!!!

  • 100mila visualizzazioni superate!

  • hey man, how many and what channels are you getting with your signal, and where do you live?

  • he lives in jacksonville.

  • gilbert terminating tool. GTT7

  • Hey check out my quick n' dirty antenna reception results in Toronto (Ajax) with an attic mounted HDTV antenna...35 total channels (analog and digital/HD)

  • all that is a waste of time and too much work if you live in canada go on craigs list and look for a tool called a g117 i think and that will open the cable box so you can do it yourself i bought one and i now have free cable

  • hey ,i search for the tool u recomend g117

but i found nothing ? could u write more detail about it tnx

  • Will this antenna get WWE(Wrestling show) HD on the USA Network

  • i tryed this before with my new digital tv , and all i get is HD spanish chanels , lol

  • isnt the government stopping over the air tv signals?

  • They're stopping ANALOG TV signals in June. They will have TV Broadcasters switch over to Digital-Only signals.

  • lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>lol>

  • i have a vhf uhf channel master antenna with pre amp and a 20' mast for my my area, the rabbit ears couldn't cut it here.

  • That thing is huge. Why dont you go buy a 12 dollar antenae rabbit ears and hide it behind your flat screen like I did.

  • Fire the cable company!! You can also watch all kinds of stuff for free on your computer... I Save $600 pr year. """ LOVE IT!!!

  • isn't wireless signals great! As the signals are out there its just a matter of recieveing them using the proper equipment.

  • WOW! 20 channels compared to 500 on digital cable!

  • yeah but this is ment for Free programing for people who use Antenia like I used to do, weel that is, until I got my jacked cable. I think its really cool that You can get any HDTV channels at all with an antennia! I think I'm going to try this.

  • tell us if it works

  • Who cares if you have 500 or 1,000 channels...you're gonna end up watching only like 20......

  • no, only 1 - 1 at a time

  • My digital tv off air sucks I got my antenna outside on my house On ocasion i lose reception on 3 channels. Sad thang is I get more analog channels than digital.

  • it looks like direct tv or dish network installed it :}

  • so um u lev all that out side where it will just git wet and blow up and if the cop or the old fucker next store c that u could git in big truble

  • you didnt even explain shit in the video.

  • seriously, and with all that money he spent (that he showed at the beginning of the vid) buying this crap he coulda bought not 1, but 2 ACTUAL HD antennas

  • Under the rain gutter that plastic with the holes comes off and leads to the attic, that could be a good way to hide those wires.

  • lol, your house looks like it's wired up with explosive.

  • may want to go back tp the splitter and attach a GROUN wire or should by 1 in a million chance lightning strike it your tv will get fried. The surge protector at the power source will only work from the wall power fyi. At the splitter run a wire to the cover of the light fixture short and swwet and easy.

  • Our you can buy a Lighting Guard Fuse

i think Radio Shack has them

. i have seen Ground Wires fail

  • I bought HDTV converter box, and the picture is superior to cable. I bought the RCA DTA800 which is sold just about everywhere and comes with "video out" jack - use that. It is amazing to watch HDTV in consistant clear TV.

DTV is much better than satellite & cable. The cable co. are going to go out of business with free HDTV.(maybe not!)

  • Direct TV is SO much better

  • Time Warner Cable BEST For Get Free Any HDTV! DIRECTV and DISH Network HD BAD but it will cost!!!

  • Same as Comcast offer free HDTV for locals only.

  • what antenna is dat?? cn any1 pls tell me tnx

  • Nice Video! Try a HDTV Filter a.k.a TV DESCRAMBLER. Most are analog and are not capadable with digital. So make sure it is TRU SPEC. This thing filters radio frequency, also concetrates digital frequency. It helps a lot on the picture quality, & gave me 60+ channels in total [(a few channels are repeats)I got 25+ more channels]...

NOTE: Few people sell them on ebay, you should try it merkojax.
