@Terence1999 That's Ian Whitcomb, who gave up rock'n'roll stardom in the 1960s (search his name and you'll find some of his TV appearances from back then) to pursue his love of early-20th-century songs. "My life went artistically upward, but financially downward," I heard him joke once.
I still click on this vid from time to time and always get pretty much amused. You guys really bring a lot of good mood into people's lives - that's absulutely great! Many many thanks, especially to Janet!
Adorable, as always. Alas, by the time my family discovered your performances, I had moved much too far away to visit and catch a show. Thus, it is a real pleasure to find you here so that I can at least get a taste of your shows.
Oh, I don't know... I have over 2,000 78 rpm records and love silent movies (though they are best appreciated in a theater with an audience). So at least there's on who has the patience...
Don't underestimate the diversity of interests out there...

I love it! There's probably not one of you commenting here who ever has the patience to sit down and listen to an old record or watch a 1920s film, but you this you LOVE...

I like how the melody of this one is (probably intentionally) similar to the earlier hit "Oh By Jingo", which also refers to a lady from the south sea isles. It is kind of a funny inside joke.
Is Janet cute in her Ida Mae Wong outfit or what? The whole ensemble is great but how do you turn back seventy years of filmography to make a "soundie" like that? Janet Klien and her Parlor Boys and the Sweet Hollywaiians are amazing and so are their videos!
Waaa hoo hoo! This is a hoot! Thanks for posting it.

@Keeper1st Wow, I did google him and saw that he did do quite a bit of musical
tunes. He just seems like someone who enjoys playing just for the enjoyment of it.

Does anyone know who wrote and performed the original? My mother had this on a 45 record back in 1957 and she and her friends used to dance to this.
