She seems genuine to me. She got that look to her that tells me she is closer to the spirit world than most people as if she can just project it outwards and have people be able to understand such messages is a truly amazing gift. I think in the spirit world the ethereal bodies merges and doesn't have boundaries physically so sometimes you probably would end up reading more than one spirit, it's up to the person to decipher what message and to whom. While I'm open minded to the possibility of people having psychic abilities, I do feel that unlike how the media portrays, it's not an exact science ... it can't be turned off an on like a light switch. I feel there are people who might be more "sensitive" to such things but there is no way that a psychic can be correct 100% of the time. Of course it doesn't help that quacks like Sylvia Brown and John Edwards give all psychics a bad reputation.

John Edwards was busted by people who worked on his show who had proof that "plants" in the audince got real audience members to open up and discuss dead / missing relatives, etc. These plants had microphones on them and Edwards could hear the conversations.

By that I mean he as a way of asking questions from people that get them to tell him more than what he's asking. He then pieces togehter all the things he's been told from a person, and bases his "reading" on that. As unique as his ability is, it does NOT make him psychic which is his claim.

There are limited tests.. you cannot test the subjectivity of senses one receives. Till we can, you can heap a whole lot - near everything as 'demonstrably wrong', but we all believe in something.

Second, it has been disproven to the extent that is humanly possible, just like any and all supernatural to include gods. If a claim is presented that something supernatural is true, and that claim is shown to be false, you can effectively and legitimately say the thing being claimed has been disproven, even if it's not humanly possible to KNOW there is no god... within our capacity to know anything at all, it IS disproven, even though we can't know everything.

By the way, E=MC squared is still valid whether people believe in it or not, just like evolution. Scientific facts don't require belief, so the term doesn't apply. We don't say we "believe" in gravity or "believe" in physics. Faith (or belief as you're calling it) is a belief without evidence. Keeping your mind open about things which require faith is a good idea, accepting them as fact without any evidence is just being foolish.
