Look at the Soviet war as an example. The Communist Afghan Government actually outlasted the USSR itself! The only reason it died was because the Russian Federation stoped funding them.
In fact, look at the battle of Jalalabad in 1989. The sheer size of the ANA and ANP's force says that losing is practically impossible now.

The Soviets made many progresses in Afghanistan. They helped elevate Afghans out of the dark ages. They banned the burqa, improved education and health care, built schools, vastly improved infrastructure, raised the literacy rate, etc. Under Soviet influence, Afghanistan was never more peaceful and secure. People from Afghanistan know this. The Americans totally worked against the Afghans and helped the Muslim extremists bring them back into the stone age. Now burqas, drugs, and sharia r back.
the russian ambassador should get his teeth cleaned and deal with the mess in russia and after a visit to the dentist and a 6 month period of time in rehab to stop drinking alcohol and also helping russian people from freezing and starving to death he can then offer his sober self for assistance.
Russia should help NATO in Afghanistan. The Afghans, from what I understand, wanted Russian support in the first place. Only US made the nationalistic mistake of helping anti-commie rebels by giving arms to anyone who said they were on our side , including Taliban & Mujaheddin, the same mistake shouldn't be made again.
Give the Afghan govt all the support they need, that's my opinion, let's hurry up and end this war.

The T-90's first came out in 1994, the big problem is, (very stupid) they did not "rifle" the main 125MM gun. The T-90 uses a "smooth-Bore" main gun. Plus its armor is weak. The T-90 is a copy from the T-80, copied from the T-72, then T-62, so on and so on.
During Desert Storm 1, Iraq had the 4th largest tank force in the war. The US. Army did not lose one single tank from the T-54/55, T-62 or T-72.

Soviets army didn't accomplish the mission - to provide the stable rule condition for the pro-soviet goverment. Also I believe you are forgetting we had the nuclear bomb, no one else had it, we could of nuked Hitler back to the stone age. We were also fighting Japan at the same time so we had to take on two empires at once. Battles of Khalkhin Gol was nothing, only a few thousand died on both sides. Liberated China? No. China was on our side back then, they hated the Japs for killing their people.

Look at the Soviet war as an example. The Communist Afghan Government actually outlasted the USSR itself! The only reason it died was because the Russian Federation stoped funding them.
In fact, look at the battle of Jalalabad in 1989. The sheer size of the ANA and ANP's force says that losing is practically impossible now.

The Soviets made many progresses in Afghanistan. They helped elevate Afghans out of the dark ages. They banned the burqa, improved education and health care, built schools, vastly improved infrastructure, raised the literacy rate, etc. Under Soviet influence, Afghanistan was never more peaceful and secure. People from Afghanistan know this. The Americans totally worked against the Afghans and helped the Muslim extremists bring them back into the stone age. Now burqas, drugs, and sharia r back.

Russia should help NATO in Afghanistan. The Afghans, from what I understand, wanted Russian support in the first place. Only US made the nationalistic mistake of helping anti-commie rebels by giving arms to anyone who said they were on our side , including Taliban & Mujaheddin, the same mistake shouldn't be made again.
Give the Afghan govt all the support they need, that's my opinion, let's hurry up and end this war.

Do some research, The East front was where the real war was! Only 500,000 british empire and american troops died in france. over 38 million died in the east.14 of it was the axis compaired to the 400,000 odd axis in france. We were a small fraction to the effort. if it wasnt for the russians and the might of the british naval forces. This world would be VERY different. Full Stop.

Yes we did get information out of many German scientists, but so did the soviets, we both stole any technology we could get our hands on. We didn't have time to look into the future, we were to busy making inventions in large quantities, thats why Germany got there asses kicked, quality over quantity. Both U.S. and Russia used v2 rockets for future designs.

Russia barely could hold there motherland, Imagen if all those reinforcements could of got through, Russia wouldn't stand a chance. Two, if Russia lost which they would, Germany would lose to America. We lost 940,000 troops, we had millions more and a giant industry, we would win no doubt, along with our outstanding generals. @tonygogap @tonygogap no that is where you are wrong america launched its FIRST offensive JUNE 1994 the war was over May 8th 1945...the soviet counter offensive started December 1941 almost 1942 AKA Operation Uranus then the battle line went back and forth in both directions but in autum 1943 started the final campaign on the road to victory..these are facts not opinions which you base yourself on whether or not russia would win...american offensive again JUNE 1994

When you look up the word unbeatable in the dictionary, you'll find Afghan as the definition. As you stated, NO army can defeat the Afghans. Look at America's attempt. It's been a complete failure.
You also make a great point. Persians and Iraqis can not be compared to the Afghans and their willingness to die for their religion and country. Add all that and the fact that much of the Russian weaponry was left behind, and you got yourself a group of people you just can't kill off.

We supplied Afghanistan, for pay back. Your 10 year war with Afghanistan broke your country, not even a year and half later Russia fell. lol
America is not going to fall if we spend 10 years or 15 in Afghanistan. Oh, please send the Afghans the T-90 tanks, the T-72's, Iraq used in Desert Storm 1, were horrible. We lost no tanks.

The T-90's first came out in 1994, the big problem is, (very stupid) they did not "rifle" the main 125MM gun. The T-90 uses a "smooth-Bore" main gun. Plus its armor is weak. The T-90 is a copy from the T-80, copied from the T-72, then T-62, so on and so on.
During Desert Storm 1, Iraq had the 4th largest tank force in the war. The US. Army did not lose one single tank from the T-54/55, T-62 or T-72.

Well lets recap, my historically-disabled friend. WW2 was won practically by the Soviets, who destroyed 80% of Nazis. WW1 was not won, if by anyone, by the British and the French, who did most of the job. As for Canada, I remember distinctly the U.S. weeping after 9/11 begging Canada to send troops to Afghanistan, you owe us.

I suppose, you know some russian words. Respect. Regarding the "defeat" you are not quite correct. You should differenciate between "accomplish the mission" and "lose the war". Soviets army didn't accomplish the mission - to provide the stable rule condition for the pro-soviet goverment. The failure to accomplish the mission made the military presence in Afghanistan obsolete, the forces were withdrawn.
